Absolutely not. But you're still going to get the same unearned hyperbole that Mario Tennis Aces got when people saw the words "Story Mode".

I would really recommend not getting hype for story mode. Looks extremely similar to Mario Tennis Aces which was very basic with the most barebones of RPG elements. Don't expect shit like the game boy games.

I appreciate that but it did look a bit more in depth than the watered down Tennis Aces... am I wrong about that? I need to rewatch the reveal.

Let's also keep in mind Tennis Aces was based heavily on the Wii U (Ultra Smash) game. Whereas they've had tons of time for this to be more fleshed out...

Me too as well as the GBA and 3DS versions.

I remember importing my GBA character into the GC version and totally dominating.

What I HATED in the 3DS version was that we had no option to save replays like Hole in Ones, etc.

They better not mess that up on the Switch version.

I bought Mario Tennis Aces, and was completely underwhelmed by the bare bones feeling of everything (like Mario Party too, actually.)

If there aren't a lot of courses, and costumes to unlock, I'm not buying this.
