GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Not only have the last few arcs been fantastic but all of the developments happening during the quieter periods have been amazing. Damn so glad I picked this up. I had the biggest grin on my face while reading 180. So good.
Is this "I'm a Spider, so what?" but with a shark instead?First volume cover art for Killer Shark in Another World

Can't be. still haven't had a Takara character arc /s
I hate how hard this made me laughA Rank going to be watching intently as candidates edit and read emails for 10 more chapters.
No, it's from the perspective of a summoner and a Satire, but pretty hilarious. I would say more but I don't want to ruin it
In his second to last year of high school, the dispassionate but studious, Yataro Yaguchi finally finds a calling in art. With no prior art experience, he decides to work towards to applying to an art university. A decision with potentially disastrous results. (source)
Been meaning to read this for an age, finally got round to it yesterday evening after seeing the anime announcement and just WOW.
I could not stop reading this (I would've gone all the way up to the latest volume if my phone hadn't run out of battery) god what a fantastic manga this is, can't remember the last time I found myself so engrossed by a piece of media.
The chapter where Yaguchi attempts his first f-100 canvas was amazing (source)
Most hooked I've been on a series after a first volume in a bit. While a series where a depressed and/or unfulfilled protagonist finds something they are passionate about (in this case art!) isn't something I haven't read before, the execution in the opening chapters of this series is top notch and sold me on it completely. The cheering for sports framing was particularly effective.
I wonder if it is a nightmare to coordinate all the different artists getting their respective pieces in time and complete for an ongoing serialization. Kind of neat that different artists draw the art for different characters though.
Description of art and techniques can get fairly technical, at least to someone who knows nothing like myself, but I found it compelling and some of the techniques are shown of in cool ways.
Looking forward to continuing and hopefully learning more about some of the other characters as well. (source)
Give it fourteen or fifteen chapters or so and you are for in for an experience, let me tell you.
Man 194-195... thank you kami sama. We are not worthy.
I'm all caught up and it's been a real blast. I thought the evidol arc would be kind of lame but it was super entertaining. I really love all of the various side characters and how they've all gotten their moments to shine over the last 100 something chapters. I dig the theme of being selfish and pursuing your own desires as its like the opposite of many shonen which is all about team work and putting the group over the individual.
The art and character designs are so damn good. Really looking forward to how the current arc develops as we're finally back to the main story.
I attempted to read Tokyo Revengers, but geez it felt like such "sacrifice porn" that it turned me off super hard. Does it ever stop feeling that way?
i think honestly i might be at the point where i just read nagatoro if it still makes sense after you skip the first X chapters or whatever when it's still genuinely bullying
Personally, I'd only really classify the first three chapters as bullying. The rest is mostly teasing/flirting. The story will still make sense if you skip but I still think you should power through and read the first three chapters. They'll give you a good understanding of the MC's character in the beginning and you'll have a better appreciation for how his character develops later on.i think honestly i might be at the point where i just read nagatoro if it still makes sense after you skip the first X chapters or whatever when it's still genuinely bullying
When she finds the sketches of her as the catgirl character.I think you probably could and it would make sense? I can't quite remember when that for the most part just went away entirely or degenerated into teasing.
Hmm. I'm not caught up, but I read like half of what is currently available in 2019 and I didn't feel that way. Feels pretty hopeful most of the time. There are losses, but I don't think they're common or bad enough for me to feel like it's "sacrifice porn." No guarantee that I'd say that if I were caught up, though. Also, I love delinquent manga and always have, so I went into it with that mindset.I attempted to read Tokyo Revengers, but geez it felt like such "sacrifice porn" that it turned me off super hard. A "heroic" pedo at that!To Your Eternity 1 -127
This series sure got weird after a certain point.
Edit: And now there's a pedo character, just what every series fucking needs
This I was not expecting to read today.
I think i stopped watamote in the exact moment the theme started to shift, i probably should pick it back but I dont remember anything that happened.fine i've committed to reading all of watamote at some point so i may as well get some cringe practice in early
Are you referring to the amusement park arc when kuroki started actually hanging out with peopleI think i stopped watamote in the exact moment the theme started to shift, i probably should pick it back but I dont remember anything that happened.

What I will say is at least he didn't go out like a redeemed martyr. Still very shitty and not at all welcome in what has otherwise been an incredible book.

I'm going to be honest, as someone who is up-tp-date with the Manga, I have no idea who you are talking about. Was it something subtly alluded to, or was it obvious and I've just completely forgotten the character altogether and blocked their existence from my memory? What I will say is at least he didn't go out like a redeemed martyr. Yup, I had completely forgotten them. It's Mimori's step brother, Hirotoshi, who is introduced as having a big obsession with "little sister" tropes in media (I believe his room is decorated with tons of little sister anime/manga stuff) and immediately becomes overprotective of Mimori when their parents marry. The charitable take is that he just always wanted a little sister, but there's some stuff that really straddles the line in an uncomfortable way (the example that comes to mind is when Mimori falls over and her skirt lifts up, Hirotoshi's reaction could be interpreted as excitement).
Welcome to the club! Meetings are on the third Wednesday of the month.Read through My Broken Marika and it destroyed me.
I think I should go watch Tom & Jerry or something for some sadness relief...
HahaYup, I had completely forgotten them.

Very few series have ruined me emotionally as much as My Broken Marika did. I can possibly only think of two others. Still, it is a series I'll always recommend, even if you do have to be in the right state of mind to struggle through it.Haha
I knew it was going to be sad but I didn't expect it to destroy me like that.
Yeah, the series is 300% that"Loser" MC being tasked with a burden to save people around them while they generally take lots of physical and emotional damage but in a way that makes them look cool and admirable to the reader and often the other characters in the story. Shounen protagonists often have an element of this but it's usually not extreme enough for my to call it "sacrifice porn," but that was the very first thing to come to mind with Tokyo Revengers.
