Revisiting some of my favorites while working on some I have overlooked. While the community joins in by voting!
Playing Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, Gamecube, and original Xbox games all on original hardware.
Preamble:
Greetings Folks, for those of you who have been here on era a bit you might remember how every year or so I put together a R/LTTP thread to have people join in on voting and helping me choose some games from my retro backlog. That way I can keep things moving and get tip and momentum from feedback. Well I am generally asked if I'm going to stream it. So with the down time this summer I finally got the gear. As a result this year I will be streaming my battle against my classic system backlog. As in previous years I'll put the games up to vote, and then work on some. However I will structure things a little better this time using strawpoll this time. I will generally focus on one system a time, but I may swap every week or so. Admittedly I am doing this to get a forward focus so I will be doing things at my own pace and I don't have a strict schedule planned, just working on it a few hours every couple evenings or so. I may occasionally stream newer stuff however that is not currently a focus for this thread. Also please note I have no plans to add any games at the moment.
Setup:
I am using a basic usb capture card(nothing too fancy, caps at 30FPS though) and a 2X Retrotink mini for upscaling. Original hardware for the systems, mostly composite with a few s-video hoever I have no component cables.
I will threadmark updates and completed polls, and generally give notice if I'm streaming.
Backlog Reference: The overall lineup of what I am working on
So kicking things off tonight at 6PM PST with Techromancer, then I will take a general vote on stream from a few games I have out so my general poll for dreamcast can build for a few days. heres my twitch link.
Feel free to join in voting whether you want to watch or not. Thread poll is for in a week. Always up to some challenges and end conditions for games without a clear end point.
Here is the first poll for Dreamcast. A few games I've beaten recently or are a little long for the moment may be excluded. I'll generally try whatever is voted on but I reserve the right to jump around. I'll allow multiple votes, but I'd appreciate it if you only pick 3. I want to allow for more variety in picks this time around. Chat requests are also allowed during the stream! Just wanted a more general basis
