Enough brawlers and ranged folks for splash images as well. Even threw in a nice veteran tactician and inventor so you got logistics and tactical leadership knocked out as well.

Monet's one of my favorite characters at Marvel, when they're not involving her stupid villainous brother. She's confident, smart, rich as fuck, and a bad ass. She's literally got the powers of Superman combined with some added psychic ability.
Also yeah, X-Men create field leaders like no one's business. I love the Avengers (more tbh) but I can't remember the last leader they had that wasn't Steve, Tony, or Carol. If one of them can't make the team you fuck around and come back to them all wearing leather jackets with Natasha telling them what to do.
I don't recognize some of these characters. blink, marrow, monet etc Are they from a lesser team up?
I know the OP said "no Jubilee or Rogue", but, screw it, I want a comic about all of Logan's surrogate (and legit) daughters going on a roadtrip with shenanigans along the way.

Cable is a good leader. Bobby, Emma and Pyslocke are good too. I can see Bishop as a leader too.

If you look at the full list, it's referring to the cast of the 1992 animated series. With that in mind, from context we can infer that "Wolverine" specifically refers to James "Logan" Howlett.
Sunspot was originally black, but has since been lightened considerably.
Darwin is also a black latino character, even though he was drawn gray in his early appearances.
Prodigy and Angel Salvadore also belong on that list. There's also Jesse Bedlam, Frenzy, and possibly the St. Croix family.
