Not everybody grew up in America. It wasnt a big international show
I was 9 when this show went off the air, I'm also black as fuck, so it wasn't really mainstay in my household. I've heard the name "married with children," but I've never seen an episode and when I heard "Al Bundy" I assumed it had something to do with the serial killer "Ted Bundy."

I take that back, looks like I was 9 when reruns ended on fx, I was 4 when it went off the air.

Wikipedia doesnt tell the whole story. I was the right market and the right demo when the show was in Spain and Mexico but nobody ever talked about it in any capacity. Fresh Prince, Family Matters, Saved by the Bell, hell, even California Dreams were huge shows. Ive never met a person in Spain, France or Mexico ever refer to this show.
Cant speak for other countries though, maybe Peruvians go fucking apeshit for Al Bundy.
It was extremely popular in Australasia. Right up there with those shows and Roseanne.
It was weird seeing Ed O'Neill in Wayne's World playing another character.
Maybe it's from being in an English language country, but I believe that page saying it was popular worldwide.
