IIRC the way the ownership of the team works, the Buss portion is owned by a trust which the siblings all have a share in. So Jeanie can absolutely be pushed out by her siblings.

Lakers made some bonehead moves, but they still have talent, capspace and LeBron. Injuries screwed up their season and LeBrons dumb ass throwing his teammates under the bus for Davis. Lakers will be fine.

Now to see who the Lakers bring in next. While fans of other teams probably won't understand it, this will be a relief to a lot of the fans who already gave up on Magic.

Honestly I get the feeling that he didn't want to deal with all the public scrutiny after he overplayed his hands, what with him even making a public declaration that he would resign if he couldn't land another star in the next season.
