As usual with the right, there is a distorted fact in there. It is true that several hundred thousand missing person reports are filed every year. It hasn't been over 800,000 since 2006, and not all of them are children. And presumably, many of the people are not permanently missing. And human trafficking is not the cause of all of them, of course.

Nevertheless, human trafficking is a problem, it's true. It has nothing to do with COVID, though, so bringing it up during a COVID discussion is just distraction.
The child trafficking has nothing to do with anti-vax, it is a Q-anon staple.

She believes the children are taken to harvest adrenochrome from their blood, which is then sold to world elites for it's curative and mind stimulating powers.

The majority of missing kids cases filed are runaways that get found easily, or overly worried parents that didn't know their kid was at a friend's house.
While actual missing kid cases do happen, it's not on the levels that these re-heated blood libel morons think it is.

Yeah working for CPS for a while, and having to deal with teen runaways, let me tell you, a lot of these kids really don't want to go home. They are usually reported as missing even when they are mostly fine and choosing to be missing. I remember spending one night, driving around several neighborhood for several hours, looking for a 15 year old, because she run away from us when we confroted her at a friends house when the friend's mom called us to come get her. The police ended up finding her a couple of hours later hiding behind a bush. She was reported missing. She had run away at least 10 times before.

Missing children is horrible obviously, yet it has nothing to do with vaccines, or Democrats. Can more be done? Sure.

A person in Mississippi is hospitalized after reportedly ingesting livestock medication containing ivermectin from a feed store to treat or prevent COVID-19 — a remedy promoted heavily by right-wing vaccine opponents in recent weeks.

Doctors promoting ivermectin as a COVID-19 treatment include America's Frontline Doctors, the Trump-promoted Texas group that includes accused Capitol insurrectionist Dr. Simone Gold and "alien DNA" specialist Dr. Stella Immanuel
"Devotees have besieged pharmacists with prescriptions from shady online prescribers, forcing pharmacies to crack down and treat the antiparasitic drugs like opioids," the Daily Beast reported recently. "As human-approved ivermectin prescriptions have been harder to come by, enthusiasts have taken to raiding rural tractor supply stores in search of ivermectin horse paste (packed with 'apple flavor!') and weighed the benefits of taking ivermectin 'sheep drench' and a noromectin 'injection for swine and cattle.'"

Earlier this month, a Texas official reported a noticeable increase in calls to poison control centers related to ivermectin.

So much for "respect the military" Then again, when you had Laura Ingraham pushing to "defund the military", it's clear they never cared to begin with.
Also, "one joke"

I've seen sir used intentionally as a gender neutral term only in fiction. Everything I've read about usage in the military now says sir/ma'am are used for male/female people respectively (albeit with people slipping up and calling everyone sit out of habit), and dictionaries all call it out as a male honorific.

Gotcha. Yeah wasn't sure where my mind was picking that up from!

As far as I can tell, it originated with someone calling calling a woman 'Mister' in Star Trek II.
That then mutated into 'Sir' in later Trek and other sci-fi, then in some police dramas.

That fucking general being the woke mascot now is so weird...

That dude LOOKS like the stereotypical manly man general, and he probably is for the most part. Such a weird choice to try and accuse of being woke.

I don't think that old man would stand a chance along with Gravy Train 6.

I talked to a friend about this. He's in Poland, but he was in the military so he's versed in how each country operates.
He brought up how America is so advanced that these rednecks with AR-15's wouldn't stand a chance if they tried to take over the US. Our military has weaponry so insane they barely need to lift a finger. That these "boys" are delusional if they think they stand a chance.
He's also horrified by how the AR-15 is sold here.
"What are they looking to hunt? A dinosaur?" His response to people claiming they need it for hunting.

Plus the military has drones, tanks, and jets that would wipe them out in no time. This uprising would last maybe 30 minutes.

The hilarious part about the 30-50 feral hogs thing is that its one of the few actual good use cases for hunting with that sort of gun. There are (very, very few) areas of the US where this is an actual issue.

Most suburban gun nuts though don't need any real firepower, even the avid hunters.

Not to reopen that whole discussion again, but IIRC the main issue with the 30-50 feral hogs hypothetical situation is that (in addition to hogs not traveling in groups nearly that large) if that many dangerous, large, animals were attacking your children on your yard, by the time you got a gun and came back, it would probably be too late.
