I find it incredibly fascinating that a rather unconventional game like Luigi's Mansion 3 can potentially sell over 10 million copies and be so appealing to a general audience. It's not like every Mario spin-off, nevermind single-player Mario spin-off, sells anywhere near that.

Fantastic! Glad to see that it's going to end up doing better than Dark Moon.

I actually expect 10 million simply because it's likely to get a boost in sales for several more Halloween periods to come. It is totally doable.

Give this King Boo the respect it reserves and make it the default from now on. No more of the lame one that's just a bigger boo with a gold crown.

Heck, you could make King Boo into a funky Smash Bros character as well. Can make himself corporeal, can summon Boo strikers to assist him. Trap opponents in Paintings. The potential is all there.

That's awesome. I loved it, but still haven't tried out any of the multiplayer modes. Will have to return to it at some point to give them a shot.

I have two friends with a Switch, I also own one. None of us have this game. We are all in our thirties though. Also multiple people in my office have Switches. I haven't heard this game discussed anywhere but here.

I mean this in no way offensive, but I saw you being confused over the Sword and Shield skus. Think its fair to say you are not in touch with a massive part of the audience.

Great news! I've been slowly playing through this since release (about halfway through the game I think) and it's just really fun, creative, and charming. We really don't get a lot of games like this with such high production values anymore.

No offense taken.

It's a great game.
There's a lot of work and love in this game.

I know 5 person with Switch and i know that at least four of us have the game.

Seems like its another quality Nintendo game. Glad its selling well.

Great game, hopefully it has some Luigi legs, and I hope Next Level Games works on Mario Strikers or Punch Out next, they are such a great studio and everything they've done with Nintendo(except Metroid lol) has been a blast.

Amazing news... This is my favorite game on the Switch. Is it possible for this to hit 10m when its all said and done?

Luigi's Mansion 3 / Luigi's Mansion 2 shipments ratio in Japan: 56% (0.76m / 1.30m) | Overseas: 96% (4.65m / 4.86m).

Luigi's Mansion 3 opening that high, being on Switch (evergreen paradise, content updates, more focus on multiplayer...) and relying even more on the West this time (the West is better for long term sales) guarantees that it will go over 10 million units.
