It's not the nudity but the way in which the nudity is presented. There's only so many billion times that can be repeated every time someone on this site brings out the same tired defence you are now.

There is some male nudity in this series that looks sexualized. Not much, but there is. There is even a brief sexualized penis shot at the beginning of Good Hunting, where the dude tied to a bad writhes in ecstasy. It's like three seconds long shot but it's the kind of thing you'd not typically see outside of porn tbh.

Story-wise, I enjoyed the Zima Blue episode. The others have been kind of predictable. While watching Beyond the Aquila Rift, I can't believe how far CGI has gotten since that terrible Final Fantasy movie (edit: the 2001 movie, The Spirits Within)

Watched the entire series.

Some REALLY high highs, but some really low lows. The season starts out ROUGH and then gets great, before diving in quality again.

Sucker of Souls is (IMO) by far the best one.

Second tier would be: Good Hunting, Suits, and Three Robots.

Middle tier is everything else besides Helping Hand, , Ice Age, Zima Blue, and Sonnie's Edge which were terrible.

I looked for other "ranked lists" to smugly confirm my opinion, but unlike most anthology series there is no consensus with the quality of each episode.

The third link you have there is not rotoscoped and similar to The Witness in artistic direction for the most part, it is 3d animation with a painted over style.

I feel that The Witness is not rotoscoped and just meticulously created and that is why it looks so good. You can see the various pieces coming together across his different clips on his website. From colors, to location, to character look and so on.

It wasn't quite clear, but they said they used Maya, so it sounds like it would be 3D keyframed animation maybe? Although, drawing 2D over 3D backgrounds would almost make more sense with how some of it looks.

Even that short segment in the making-of of another video still has me in disbelief that it was just hand made with no reference video footage to paint over. To me, that making of video has a slight hint of "How to draw a horse" joke:

I hope we get more big-budget animation shorts like these going forward. There are amazing visuals in here that would look ridiculous in live action or be downright impossible, and the artstyles make it really easy to overlook technical details.

It was based on a short story by Peter F. Hamilton first published in 1991, and set in his Night's Dawn universe, if you're interested.

Went into it completely blind last night and fucking loved it. An awesome, brilliant collection of gorgeous art with a generous amount of fun action and interesting stories. Some were less good than others as is always the way with these things, but the variety was just so delicious, I had to watch it all in one sitting. The visuals absolutely sing in 4K/HDR on an OLED. Glorious. My favourite thing Netflix has put out to date.

Overall it was very good. I feel there's a few bad appealed, and the first is too edgy for the series own good (not that it's entirely awful but edgy enough to put people off), but as a whole I very much enjoyed watching it. It was never boring aside from the Hitler episode.

I mostly liked that they were different lengths. I feel like maybe it gives it an advantage over something like Black Mirror we're everything is forced to be an hour long and I often can't find the energy to watch the next episodes, whereas with Love Death and Robots the ten to twenty minutes means that no time is wasted in them and it's a lot more engaging.

Just cliche after cliche, early Youtube era short. 'I'll shove this gun up your ass!'
