Lost 80H RDR2 save files because of Cloud Sync Error

formated my PC and installed RDR2 and the damn launcher doesn't download the save files and gives me a freaking Cloud Sync Error. So everything I've done is down the drain. This sours me me a lot and I cannot trust rockstars damn cloud save system

Might not mean much but you can always download a save from Nexus and use that. Depending on what chapter you're on and such.

Quite a few people have upload their own save games up for people to download.

That sucks to hear OP. Is there a chance that the directory where the save was located is still in tact? Try a recovery tool like Recuva to see if that part of the disk has been overwritten by the format or missed. Long shot but you might have luck.

I remember Control was pretty finicky about it's saves between my two PCs so I ended up symlinking the save directory to my NAS and pointing both machines to the same place, just to make sure everything stayed synced.
