Narcissists don't care about the ramifications of their actions. He saw an area where he could make money by going after a highly controversial president with a "scandalous" accusation, and went for it.God, if that shit he did is true, what the FUCK was he thinking making himself a public figure?
The indictment specifically charges Avenatti with 10 counts of wire fraud related to the theft of money that should have been paid to clients, eight counts of willful failure to collect and pay over taxes withheld from GBUS employee, one count of endeavoring to obstruct the administration of the Internal Revenue Code, four misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file his personal tax returns for the years 2014 through 2017, three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file Eagan Avenatti's tax returns for the years 2015 through 2017, three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file tax returns for Avenatti & Associates for the years 2015 through 2017, two counts of bank fraud related to the loans received from The People's Bank, one count of aggravated identity theft for misusing the name of a tax preparer in relation to the bank fraud scheme, three counts of making false declarations in relation to a bankruptcy, and one count of giving false testimony under oath in Bankruptcy Court.
Resetera Receipts!Um, no I don't.
Edit- unless you mean people you seen on Social Media or something.
Anyway, I wonder if Donald thinks he can get Avenatti to *flip* for his side now....lol
even more! The indictment alleges he last filed his taxes in 2010. He's just getting charged for 3 years, possibly because of the statute of limitations.

No, to be president of the US of A, you need to know how to commit crimes but not get caught.
Wish I could say this is politically motivated but the idiot seems to have written his own destiny.
It's definitely politically motivated but if you do the crime...
I'll give you the domestic assault crap being politically motivated, but what he's charged with now (which seems to not even include the Nike stuff) is purely on him.Dude should've known he had a huge target on himself.
Gotta be squeaky clean if you're going after the president.
Not saying he is innocent at all but how many other rich guys are out there running rackets. They targeted him because he went after Trump.I'll give you the domestic assault crap being politically motivated, but what he's charged with now (which seems to not even include the Nike stuff) is purely on him.

I just changed my vote to yes. I wasn't feeling it at the time, but this puts him over the top.
Speaking of, why the hell has Wohl still not been arrested yet? And why is there discussion of hundreds of years in prison for Avenatti while Manfort got something like eight? Evidence that the system is rigged continues to pile up.
because 1. lots of what wohl did isn't super obviously criminal, 2. investigations take time, and 3. you're comparing the bullshit theoretical statutory maximum sentence that has no relation to how the federal sentencing guidelines work to a sentence a person actually received. manafort was "facing" 305 years by the same token on one of his indictments but guidelines range was more like 20. he still got off light, but you should ignore the nonsense hundreds-of-years stuff the media throws out because it's just not how things work.Speaking of, why the hell has Wohl still not been arrested yet? If convicted, Avenatti will end up with 5-10 years, the 335 years is just the theoretical maximums if served consecutively. It's what journalists focus on when the story breaks because it's usually so sensational, but it warps people's perceptions because the final sentences are rarely ever close to the max term. He's a first time, white collar offender (AFAIK) so he won't get anywhere close to the max and he'll serve the sentences concurrently.Speaking of, why the hell has Wohl still not been arrested yet?
