Freeza did more to help Goku win the Tournament of Power than the Lincoln project did to help Biden.

They were always Republicans--this is not a pivot. I find it interesting that people cite Democrats/Liberals donating a lot of money to them. I haven't seen such donations outside of our forum discussing them.

This literally was always their goal. They wanted to get rid of Trump so that they could rebrand the Republican Party.

No one's shocked. TBH they don't have a chance in hell of restructuring the pubs, but if they did I'd prefer them to the literal fascist death cult. Lowest bar.
because you see there are posters smarter than you or i who KNEW they were Republicans all along!
Ah, I see. I never knew.

I too would like to see the breakdown from the millions of democrats that donated to them... were swayed, and voted trump? Or Just voted for biden...
So nothing literally changed besides them producing better ads than the DNC...that didn't change the minds of people that only vote for racism.

Now they're going to use that money to make...

even more ineffective ads for the republican party?

What? They were always openly Republican, that's the whole damn foundation of who they are and present themselves. They literally spent the past few weeks doing interviews about their Republican identity and how it informs their project.

I know emotions are running high right now but sometimes it seems like people have an axe to grind with SOMEONE and do so indiscriminately.

...where is the pivot? This was always their position.

They didn't support Biden because they were secret democrats. They supported Biden because Trump was destroying the republican party.

To think, there was a very brief moment in time when, after reading some of their tweets, I thought "Maybe not all Republicans are so bad?".

Lol, what the fuck was I thinking?

You're thinking you should have looked into them the tiniest bit. Because they're all very much die hard republicans. Trump is going the wrong way, but they have the same goal in mind. That was literally their motive. They thought the party was fractured, it clearly isn't. Republicans love open racism and fascism.

Their mistake.

If I gave these scumbags cash I'd be ashamed. Same if I were to share their videos in a positive light.

... weren't there moderators on this forum doing that?

I take less issue with the idea of TLP being posted by mistake now and again, than I do with people on this website who fell on their asses to justify them.

Because we made it clear who was behind this—a bunch of transphobic and racist people, who ended up cashing a lot of money (not on this website, I'm told).

Money that could've gone to help the homeless, or money that could've been used for a transition GFM, or to feed someone. Or heck, even a vulnerable dem race.

Instead, it went to a bunch of people who actively despise the minorities who come to this site. Who ended up cashing out, and being completely useless despite people being so very sure they were so very neccesary or (accepted, at the very least).

This, and the Biden statement thread would be real eye-opening if I didn't already know what's up. It's still really disappointing nonetheless.

Yea I admit I didn't even bother to look into them. They were just some Twitter account to me, some organization that people I follow like Mark Hamill or Soledad O'Brien retweeted or liked or whatever, so they ended up in my timeline until I muted them.

Okay so I did some preliminary research and most (if not all) of the cited donations from "Democrats" are from billionaires.

Can we stop this false narrative that your average Dem/blue-voter was out here giving money to TLP?

These same billionaires would have probably donated to a Republican candidate if a true Socialist was on the ticket for Dems.

As opposed to all the non-problematic Republicans
Well, their goal is to put the mask back on the party. Trump ripped that shit off and couldn't stop cutting WWE promos for the "real" Republican party.

TLP wants to steer things back to hiding the evil behind the guise of the good, wholesome Christian party.

Shit looks bad when man has Evangelicals sweating their loyalties, or at least *cough* claiming they are.

Leftists love to think that everyone outside their bubble is either evil or a rube. There might be some genuinely stupid lanyards out there who are shocked at this turn of events, but practically person I interact with online in this crazy game we call politics understood TLP was an "enemy of my enemy" ally and very much poised to be future foes. The bedwetting over these guys becoming like Pete Buttigieg's comms team was completely ridiculous the first time Chapo suggested it and never got any smarter.

I'm hoping this flops for them. From Republicans mad at them for opposing trump and trying to take back the party, and from dems who somehow are shocked at the about face. Honestly it's mainly centrist dems who want a "rational" Republican Party and I'm not sure how far that takes them

I mean, they never said they stopped being republican, in fact that was their whole selling point. They mostly took the money of like minded centrists disgusted by trump who never voted dem before.

I unsubbed before I went to bed election night.

Ummm, almost everyone anticipated this.

Once Trump is gone, their usefulness was up.

This isn't some Top 5 Anime Betrayal, pretty telegraphed.

I'm not to worried about it, I would rather have Republicans that are actually conservatives then the fucking clown show the Republican Party is now. If we learned anything this term it's that stupid is much much worse then competent. Kind of hoping that if they get their shit together then maybe the Dems will too. That corporate centrist shit potentially cost them this/the next election.

Imagine if you actually donated to this scam...

How it is a scam? They were honest.

And FWIW if they want to try to make the GOP less toxic, good for them. Because the Republicans WILL be in power again one way or another. I will fight them, but it would be nice if they didn't put kids in cages.

I don't know a single progressive that gave them a dime. If you do, well, your friends are dumber than mine.

Yeah this ain't happening. It took a pandemic to bring Trump down and even then it wasn't an ass kick out the door we were hoping for. They basically own the courts now. The days of Mittens and McCain and Bob Dole nominees are over.

Liberals/Dems gave them 60 million? Who here donated to them? They were useful idiots, and now they're on the ignore list. What's the problem.

Besides, their effectiveness was lukewarm at best as it turns out, since Republican turnout INCREASED.

They were always republican? Just Never-Trumpers. I assumed their goal would always be to remove Trump then get behind the next candidate. Anyone progressive who donated to them is a moron.

I'm not saying this to say I told you so. But so many people here just shit on me so bad when I tried explaining we shouldn't support the Lincoln project or normalize their platform and give it credibility. Like people started treating me like a dumbass in those threads it was so pretentious, I was just trying to be helpful and people made me seem so stupid. I kept explaining I only cared so much because these are people who have oppressed people like me for so long. It's not worth giving them any credibility or political equity going forward. But nobody really cared. So I'm not surprised at all by this.

But it seems they want to steer the party in a different direction to Trump though, like they really do dislike the current admin and want a better Republican party... whatever that looks like.
They don't want a 'better' Republican Party, they want one that is more discreet and less volatile with its evil.

Well yeah they pretty much just want to take back the Republican Party minus the rabid racism and sexism. Still through and through its still personal responsiblity and small govt crap and taxes etc.

current party is pretty much the tea party/evangelical zealots party.
Uh no they didn't want to minus the racism and sexism, every single one of these Lincoln Project fucks is both sexist and racist.
