The absence of a native next-gen version honestly gives a hint of how remastered this actually is.
Basically you want a remake that was never plausible within the timeframe. These remasters are really a money grab. Insane there is no PS5/XSX version. A remaster would be using the True Colors engine for these.
Maybe they shouldn't have announced a "remaster" then? Or they could have delayed longer and actually released a more noticeably improved remaster that actually takes advantage of current gen consoles.Basically you want a remake that was never plausible within the timeframe.
I get the frustrations but people need to realize Deck Nine is pretty smol.
Ohhhhh... this is a hard one.i've played through the original several times but never Before the Storm. Should I play Before the Storm first, or is it more effected playing it in order of release?
This isn't how they were released, but playing it Before The Storm THEN Life is Strange might be a good experience if this is your first time. You might grow a certain appreciation for some characters.Do I play Before the Storm first or do I play Life is Strange first?

Stores/General Entitlement Notes:
For clarity, we wanted to share some information in advance of any issues you might face when trying to download the game as part of entitlement to the Life is Strange: True Colors Ultimate Edition, or otherwise.
· Life is Strange: True Colors Ultimate Edition customers will see/be able to download the Remastered Collection games to which they are entitled once the two Remastered games are released. Because of the way console store bundles are structured, Add-Ons and bonus bundle content are not visible on-store and in a customer's console library until they are actually released. This may have presented as being able to add the Life is Strange Remastered Collection to your store cart before release / not see the games you have purchased as part of the Ultimate Edition. Now that the games are released, you should be able to see them, ready for download. You may need to refresh or restart your console if they have not appeared automatically after 5PM GMT / 9PM PST on February 1.
Pre-Order Zombie Crypt Chloe Outfit DLC
- On PlayStation, both games are available as cross-generation compatible PS4 versions, so there is no PS5-specific version available to purchase. The PS4 version on the PlayStation store will run on PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS5..
- The two games install / can be installed separately from one another, appear as separate games in your library, and are launched independently. They can only be purchased as the paired Remastered Collection - except on Stadia, where the games are available separately.

We have become recently aware, due to some last-minute issues, that the pre-order bonus 'Zombie Crypt' Outfit for Chloe is missing from the PlayStation and Stadia versions of Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered. All customers who pre-ordered the game up to 8am PST on the day of launch will receive the outfit DLC entitlement once an upcoming patch is issued, and we stress your entitlement is not affected. We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience to your first experience with the game. Expect news on when to expect this patch soon.

The Life is Strange Team
This isn't how they were released, but playing it Before The Storm THEN Life is Strange might be a good experience if this is your first time. You might grow a certain appreciation for some characters.
I guess the update to 4k is nice at least, but I believe you could already play the original at 4k on PC.I mean that what the vast majority of remaster are the same game with all the content at higher resolution/framerate with some texture improvement (if you are lucky)
I'm pretty sure the 1st game run on the same version of UE as True Color but that doesn't make a game better looking by itself.
I'm doubtful we'll hear of 2 again from this point onwards :(Thanks. I think I will start with Before the Storm then. Also do we know if there will be a remaster of Life is Strange 2?
Feels like 30fps to me playing through the first game.Wait, is there no 60fps mode on Series X? That's the one thing that seemed like a no-brainer to me. I mean, the last-gen version of the original release is FPS boosted and I'm 99% certain Before the Storm had a 60fps mode built-in originally. I just started downloading them so I can't check yet but please tell me I'm mistaken. Because that seems like a straight up downgrade if so.
Dang, that's a huge bummer for me. I just got BTS downloaded and that does at least still have a high framerate mode. I'll at least take my time with that and maybe by the time I get to OG LiS it'll be miraculously patched in
Hope you are right and they do patch it in. I'm going to stop playing for now. Just went to the courtyard after telling the principal and I'm not gonna play all the way through in its current state. I already played through the original game like 3 times previously and this doesn't feel like it's worth it at this point to play it a 4th time.Dang, that's a huge bummer for me. I just got BTS downloaded and that does at least still have a high framerate mode. I'll at least take my time with that and maybe by the time I get to OG LiS it'll be miraculously patched in
I highly doubt it and I don't think it needs one.Thanks. I think I will start with Before the Storm then. Also do we know if there will be a remaster of Life is Strange 2?
Life is Strange first.Do I play Before the Storm first or do I play Life is Strange first?
I wouldn't say it's anti-vax, just Max being annoyed that last time she got the shot it made her ill. I think saying it's anti-vax is reading too much into it.I forgot there was anti-vax commentary in the bathroom in the first game. Surprised they didn't take that out.
Saying she got the flu after getting the flu shot and saying she isn't getting another or something to that effect came off as anti vax to me, but I guess people can interpret things in different ways.I wouldn't say it's anti-vax, just Max being annoyed that last time she got the shot it made her ill. I think saying it's anti-vax is reading too much into it.

Anyone on PS4 getting terrible tearing at the borders of the screen?
EDIT: Now I have tutorial text stuck on my screen that won't go away even during gameplay. Filters go crazy sometimes when a cutscene switches to a new angle. Not even past the prologue, and this seems buggy as hell.
