I used to make these corny ass things for folks all the time back in my SRK days as a teen, haha.
I'm kinda for them even still, though some can be uh, interesting.

honestly i cant imagine any kids would ever want to participate as something as archaic as a message board at this point
I wish I still had all my terrible anime sigs I made back in the day so I could look at them and cringe.
I have a soft spot for signatures, as on my first forum it was a big thing, but largely photo ones. It got me into GIMP for a while there, and I put together a few legitimately cool banner signatures with the program. Also, it's just so distinctly 2000's, and I'm an absolutely broken nostalgic mess.
That said I didn't pursue graphic design or anything, and I get why they are disliked by many, be it photos or just text. So I don't have any strong want for it back or anything.

Add signatures, likes, nahs, tags, whatever all you want. Long as there's a setting where I don't see them clutter my view, enjoy.

Noticing this and going straight to Settings to see you can block all these made me realize there truly are angels walking among us.

Avatars are enough, all that information can be shoved into microtext at the bottom of the avatar.
Before social media forums were a good place to meet people who shared similar interests so a signature made some sense but not anymore.
