I used to go without the bin but it clogged once and took too much time to unclog, which made me late for something. So it's bin always since.

I'd actually prefer to keep the thread open until somebody clarifies to me the how and why of this. You are dropping a log in the shower. What if you stand on it? What about the grim possibility of a smell emanating from the drain? What about smears you have to go and clean up? There are so many fucking things that make this weird and insane and bad.
