John Huber, the U.S. attorney in Utah, was tapped in November 2017 by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions to look into concerns raised by President Trump and his allies in Congress that the FBI had not fully pursued cases of possible corruption at the Clinton Foundation and during Clinton's time as secretary of state, when the U.S. government decided not to block the sale of a company called Uranium One.

As a part of his review, Huber examined documents and conferred with federal law enforcement officials in Little Rock who were handling a meandering probe into the Clinton Foundation, people familiar with the matter said. Current and former officials said that Huber has largely finished and found nothing worth pursuing — though the assignment has not formally ended and no official notice has been sent to the Justice Department or to lawmakers, these people said.

So Trump's landmark political investigation (well, after Horowitz report and Comey and McCabe and the Durham report) is a dud. The Clinton foundation, Uranium One, and the email scandal turned into zero prosecutions in 2 years of review.

Silver lining is that it seems that Trump's DoJ can't fabricate crimes even against his biggest enemies... yet.

Yep, just Trump rolling out his greatest hits. I am surprised, but at the same time not at all surprised that these people haven't gotten bored of the same old shit during the past 4 years.

it's hard to come up with new material when you're constantly being scandalized due to your own fuck-ups. right now almost everything on the left is too much of a moving target for him to draw a bead on and it's not exactly clear where the party stands values-wise at the moment. he's tried the ol 'socialism' boogeyman since songs in the key of McCarthyism have been a standby in American politics for ages, but the cold war was a long time ago so no one really cared

That's pretty obvious. Trump is the (hopefully last) flex of white supremacy demonstrating that it can prop up and shield even the worst person from justice. It's been wild watching how far the GOP has been willing to go to protect him but things will only get worse if they're successful beyond this year.

All this really proves is that there was at least one Democrat in the DOJ that was obviously intrumental in concealing evidence. Best to start run them out and then start the process back up again.
