I don't know. I just happened to refresh it one more time before going to bed, and managed to order one for pickup. Order shows it will be there Dec. 2, we'll see if it actually happens.

Is anyones gamestop order still saying "preparing for shipment"? It has been saying this for two days. Does Gamestop ever mess up like Kohls?
Ordered mine Monday night, still on preparing for shipment as well. To be fair though, I think the estimated ship date for my order said Nov 27
Mine is November 27th as well. I called them to make sure everything was fine and they said it was. I tried to change the shipping to overnight, but they said it was to far along in the shipping process to change it. Yet it had not been shipped yet. I am just paranoid with what happened with Kohls lol
I tried to get a PS5 for my wife for Christmas from WalMart. It went through, but 30 minutes later I got a "sorry we canceled your order" email but then when I go to check it on their website or on the WalMart app it says the order is still good and will be ready for pickup Dec 2nd.
Anyone else experience anything like this?

I get ya. I had different names on the billing address and payment info and panicked thinking they'd cancel my order on me as well. Called and they told me it was fine. The Kohls drop still got me shook too.
I was one of the lucky ones who was able to get one from Best Buy on Sunday and they told me that mine would be ready this coming Sunday on the 29th. Just checked my order tracker a little bit ago and while the status itself hasn't changed, my progress bar did increase. So I assume that the thing has shipped/moved from one location to another. Pretty excited. Honestly, a two week wait after launch and getting one at MSRP feels pretty good after missing pre-orders and the first few chances.
Going to trade my PS4 Pro into them too, so it'll be an even better deal. I checked the local sellers around trying to sell PS4's/Pro and a lot of them were asking for about $200 for the Pro bare minimum. If BB gives $150 for decent condition trades, it'll definitely be worth it, especially considering just how many ads I'd saw for people trying to sell their PS4's nearby.
I was going to get the PS4 ready and trade it before I picked the PS5 up, but I think I'm going to bring the PS5 home first and do the transfer stuff, then trade it in. Since I put it on credit, I should be able to which also works out nice. All and all, I came away pretty lucky.

Mine says "partially shipped" bur that's just referring to the digital stuff. Anything physical still says "preparing for shipment".
I give up, disc edition going to my daughter and going to surprise my nephew with my digital edition for Christmas. I know blah blah you got 2 ps5's but I'm 34 and these consoles mean more to these teenagers than myself. Good luck everyone.
Oh. Yeah. Never mentioned it here I guess...I got a PS5. Launch day. Went from "Oh well, I'll get one when I get one" to two hours later, "Oh. Well I guess this is happening then." as Target finally allowed my order to go through.

- First drop: endless Captcha. "Fuck this, I'll wait some months until this is easy".
- Few minutes later: Twitter notifications that there's another wave. Actually manage to get in cart. Checkout kicks me out repeatedly until it says out of stock.
- A while later: ERA gives me hope that some CS rep said there'd be new units every half hour or something. I refresh and actually get the add to cart. Go to checkout and it's giving me option to pick up...... in another state. I don't know how or why Walmart changed my location about 500 miles in the wrong direction.
- Rest of the night: frustrated refreshes.... and back to "fuck this, I'll wait some months until this is easy".

Just confirming that you checked popfindr to ensure they will have what you're looking for at that GS? I see that one of the Durham stores is getting zero PS5s, while the others are getting 2 or 3 each.
I remember a week or so ago saying I was gonna camp out at my Gamestop and you said "hmm, I might do that!". Skip to a week-ish later, and I scored one yesterday at Walmart, so no need to camp any longer. To you, I say, good luck out there.

I really do miss hanging out, and camping out, for new consoles with friends. Haven't done it since the Wii.
When I went to bed last night people here were talking about walmart having in store stock on friday at 5am...is that still a thing?
