I am done for the night. Words cannot describe how frustrated I am. Literally had it in my cart multiple times FFS
My nearest GameStops allegedly have, in accordance with PopFindr, 2 PS5s/6 XSXs and 0 PS5s/0 XSXs (?!), respectively.
Yeah you should get rewarded for getting to the queue early, not penalized. I just had a thought to check and got in before tweets went out.
I was about 5 minutes after the tweet but its still annoying. The directs always go up when I'm busy at work. Hell everything goes up when I'm busy or sleeping except for walmart.
For all the Walmart in store pickup'ers, don't let Walmart's poor communication stress it. The date they gave might change. They might not even ship it until the day after you were supposed to pick it up. Once you get the FedEx tracking number you're golden.
I had it worse this time. Was able to hit Place Order and got into a captcha loop.
How does GameStop even expect their in store BF to work with so little stock?
Out of 26 Gamestop locations near me, Popfinder is showing 2 PS5s each at 18 locations, and 0 at 8 locations. And no digital editions.
They can't possibly. Between their deal with MS to get a cut of XSS game sales and Sony not wanting covid lines, it looks like Gamestop is effectively sitting this one out. I might drive by one near me to see if there's a line, but that's about it. I'd wager with two systems those are going to employees or friends of employees for the most part.
So what's the track record with Walmart's shipping? It says mine will arrive next Wednesday.
holding back stock for Black Friday is really about being able to have the new consoles on your weekly ad so that random moms/dads/uncles/grandmas drop in "just to see if they have it" and buying something else
it is not about actually satisfying customers with available units

Drove past my local gamestop and there was legit like 7 people there. I'm fuckin' out till this is readily available. I'm broken
Apparently there was much better (than Sony) queue system where you had a chance to add item in the cart. You add it to the cart and wait. If item was added in the cart, checkouts required email/text verification for every order. Plus, it was a big drop so it lasted for long time (relatively).
It showed for a store. I wonder if these might be just local ones only that are showing and the store near me had some. I'm in south east PA

It seems like they are randomly turning on stores for in store pick up for units they have. Makes no sense. Haven't had the option to pick up at store yet in Texas...

Mine says the 2nd, but I feel like it'll be there Friday, since my store manager had them already.
Complete luck. I had given up already then just happened to refresh the page just because and the option to add to cart was there. And from there I was able to purchase it smoothly. No deer or anything. It was weird.
That'd be great. I hope so. Otherwise it kinda feels like a waste of a weekend.

frustratingly it started with one store showing 2 left, then has now switched to a different location showing 1 with the same problem
Is there a specific link I need to use for in store pick up because it doesn't give me the option to purchase and pick up at a store?
no it's just on the regular page, for add to cart it started prompting as pickup from a local store and said "Hurry - 1 left in stock!" next to the button
