I'm hopeful they will lead us to the promised land. I checked brickseek and most Walmart's around me have 6+ for Black Friday. If they limit it to store pickup I'm really hopeful to get one from Walmart tomorrow night. On popfindr most GameStop's are showing just 2 PS5's for in store pickup Black Friday and it just doesn't seem worth risking COVID or staying in the cold all night for such a limited amount.

Maybe they're making sure more people in a queue can get one rather than the dozen or so in the front? I'd be fine with not having any directs for a week if it meant a larger drop allows more people get one.

It's either that theory, or they have none.

I actually spoke with a store manager earlier today who told me they aren't even allowed to say how many units will be in stock. She said she didn't know yet what the final number would be regardless but yes, even if she did, she couldn't disclose it.

I think it's a store to store basis. I've heard people giving numbers for their local or being told what you were told. I think it's them being scummy and just getting you to come in, get COVID and figure out they have two series s' instead of a disc PS5.

I went to my local Best Buy today to ask some questions about various things.

The lady said as long as I hadn't gotten follow up emails regarding validating payments, I should be good to pick it up when it shows up.

They are offering $150 for trades of good condition PS4 Pro/One X consoles that includes the cables and a controller, which isn't great but it's something. Looking at the website, console trade ins right now towards any of the new consoles will also get a $10 coupon towards (specific?) next gen games, so in effect bumping a best deal trade to ~$160.

Gamestop was advertising $200 in store credit for Pro/One X trades, so $150 from BB is kind of disappointing. I can't complain though, as I should still have my hands on a disc PS5 for solidly below MSRP after the trade and only had to wait 2 weeks after launch, so I'm definitely thankful and feel super lucky.

Gamestop at 7 AM ET. In store. Each Gamestop should have at least 2 PS5's and Series X.

I think all we know about Amazon, and Target is that there will be PS5's and Series X sales. When, we don't know exactly.

I just called mine and they literally said the same thing but they'd post a piece of paper on the door with the number of units after close of business tomorrow.

Anyone know is Kohl's is done sending cancelations or is it still possible more will get canceled? I thought I saw someone post a customer service chat on twitter that said that all cancelations have gone out now....

Damn I would think they would be pretty well done with cancels by now. But I can't say that for certain.
