Wasn't this already possible with PPSSPP's own ad-hoc implementation? I remember playing MHP3rd with some folks online, though we had to share our IP for others to connect to.

I guess BBS had something a bit weird with it, apparently the newest update fixed it.
He is also adding new fights for the arena
