I'm inclined to think it's maybe Sony bringing more games to PC? Both DS and HZD are coming to PC, and it would be an important moment for Sony to bring other games to the platform.
Yeah, if It's something ps5 related, it will be a teardown of the console, like Cerny teased. With announcement for the game showcase at the end at most.

Maybe. Geoff likes his moments. Remember how big of a "moment" it was for him to get Reggie, Phil and the Sony guy (Shawn I think?) together on stage at the Game Awards?
Yeah, if you care about Ska or Punk music, or getting high while playing, you should care.
That'll always be up to the developer. Platform support for it seems to be more or less standard now, so it wouldn't really be a 'big' deal to announce that will be the case next-gen also. I think everyone expects that to continue on (?)

The Sony faithful would feel abandoned if PC got more news before the PS5.
I'm not expecting any serious moves from Sony until we see some numbers for Horizon (can't wait for that release date); but it'd certainly be an attention-grabbing move to revisit that now.
So if it disappoints i can ignore the rest. Good to know.

I think the "more important in SGF" thing says more about Geoff and the SGF than about the showcase itself. It's probably not gonna be a big deal in terms of a AAA game or console reveal or anything like that. Those things can't go unnanounced previously. It's gonna be something of personal importance to Geoff like some game with social compromise or something social or ethics related or even some pandemic related thing. What has me wondering is why call it a showcase, as that explicitly points to some game or several games or products being shown. So maybe an indie game with some serious social compromise aspect to it.
