I'm honestly not expecting much. I'm always excited for any new announcements/reveals and for months now they've been all rather meh. So I'm not expecting any big, long awaited or very surprising game reveal from Keighley.

This has to be the vaguest festival ever, no? No real "schedule" and a bunch of nebulous announcements. On one hand, from a marketing perspective it's brilliant. From a gamer's perspective, it's torturous! I have trust in Geoff tho, great dude.

Eh I'm not really seeing what he needs to temper like some of you are suggesting.
It's not like he's saying "You don't want to miss this" and then various devs are doing the same thing. He's just saying tune into a special showcase and interview. Of course he wants you to tune in and he's not going to say "it's nothing too big"
I don't think there needs to be a disclaimer for everything he pushes out. Some in here are already setting themselves up and that's not his fault.

I really like Keighley and what he does for the industry, but expectations are rock bottom. Sorry Geoff :(
It should be that anyway for an announcement like this. I'm going to tune in because I'm down for anything gaming related, but people non ironically saying Sony reveal, Batman etc are just setting themselves up and that's not Geoff's fault.
Right. Also why would he spend time seriously downplaying his own event. The man set up a cool summer long string of stuff and he's gonna promote it. Makes sense to me. Idk. If people set themselves up massive disappointment then that's on them imo unless he goes overboard with hyping something up which I don't think he has.
