There's a whole market on youtube for people unboxing toys! I never realized how big it was until my nephew and all his friends were talking about them. They even watch a guy who does nothing but open a pile of childrens DVD cases one by one, showing the disc and then putting it back in the pile. How is that entertaining??
Is there a reason people think Sony hasn't shipped PS5s to Europe?
of course they're having them shipped. But if you have an embargo you normally aim to get things to everyone so they all have a fair crack at getting things filmed/written so they can go live at the same time. We've seen a week of US places posting shots of boxes, but nothing from Europe. So its not unreasonable to think they're coming in later (seemingly today) - which is still a little late for unboxing vs US.
Sony so far has had 1 big news a week for a month. Maybe a SoP announced at the end of the week 👀
I am guessing that they will put a form online to request an adaptor.I just want a definitive answer about the adapter for the PS4 Camera for PSVR compatibility. Game Informer put out an article where they used the phrase "included with every system", but that contradicts the box photos that list the contents.
It's when you have a job
It will be funny just to have all Nextgen boxes next to each other. PS5-XSX-XSS.
Thats how we Germans feel when you talk about WOLFENSTEIN. Even weirder when a German speaks English and puts heavy emphasis on WOLFENSTEIN.I dont know what it is, but theres always something funny to me about hearing a different language and then suddenly an english word pops up out of nowhere.
WE are nearing Inception Levels of Security. When you unbox the PS5 box, there will be another box to unbox with another embargo.
I'm honestly still shocked at how small it is. Like how the hell does everything fit in there?, Sony have either broken some laws of physics or they're just really good at tetris.
yeah how is the box smaller than the PS5?I'm honestly still shocked at how small it is. Like how the hell does everything fit in there?, Sony have either broken some laws of physics or they're just really good at tetris.

Germans say "CASTLE wolfenstein" ?Thats how we Germans feel when you talk about WOLFENSTEIN. Even weirder when a German speaks English and puts heavy emphasis on WOLFENSTEIN.

i guess we have to assemble it!
Fucking this. I'm quietly preparing additional €100 just in case I don't get my upfront paid for PS5DE. But in that case I'll just stick with Series X for the time being, I don't need this ugly fat PS5 in my room.No one has digital edition? It looks like DE will be a super exclusive club. Would be funny if DE ends up costing more than regular PS5 on price gauging websites.
Yes but they didn't all get it at the same time homeslice.I think every person/outlet that received them would've made a video within 24 hours anyway, but maybe that's part of it, I don't know. I don't think it's the main reason, though.
The only reason I can think of why they'd want to delay any hands on is because the firmware update isn't ready yet. So whatever OS/UI is operating on the retail units right now is not the one Sony demoed a week ago.
I'm choosing not to unbox mine until Christmas day so I have something to look forwards too. Was supposed to be flying home to England this year for a family Christmas but that won't be happening.Because PS5 isn't matte black.
Used to tell my parents this but they were like "nope you can't open it before Christmas Day".

Or they want to spread out the info for the next couple weeks.
Considering how they've not behaved this way before, it's unlikely that this is a deliberate marketing choice. For instance, Sony's head of UX development promised we'd hear about the UI "soon" in late June. It took several months for them to show it, and he emphasised the "finally" in his commentary suggests - again - this was not by design.
Era seems to be the only place where people have somehow accepted a multibillion dollar company is purposefully holding back marketing of their console to the week of release, rather than showcasing its features/games ahead to drum up hype.
Don't take my word for it. Look at Sony's promotion of the PS4.
The embargo of hands-on impressions may suggest the firmware hasn't been installed on the retail machines yet.
