I would remove ON and replace it with Serendipity or So What. Just Dance and Not Today would also be solid choices. Other than that, most of my favs are pretty much on there.

Does anyone else think CLC peaked with No? I don't think they're getting any more popular, specially with the one year break since Devil. It's a shame, if only they got more girl crush comebacks after Me, they'd have stood a better chance at keeping some sort of momentum from No.

I think it was over for them once GI debuted honestly.

This covers most of my favorites, but I would replace ON with Tomorrow or 134340 because I just didn't enjoy ON that much. It's definitely a good song, but overall I didn't enjoy it as much as their other title tracks. Black Swan was the superior track (and one of my all time favorite BTS songs) out of the two they promoted from MOTS: 7 by miles.

Absolute legend. And that tracklist as well. So many amazing songs.

Less Kyle Hanagami and more Rino please SM.

Always loved this video of her dancing to Nu Abo.

This is great.

Pretty much. CLC not being more popular is one of the tragedies of 3rd gen kpop girl groups. Along with the disbandment of Pristin.

I would have loved to see a subgroup consisting of Yeeun, Yujin and Seungyeon.

It doesn't help that Cube went with the cute concept while girl crush was working so well for 4Minute and when CLC went with girl crush, (G)I-DLE debuted. CLC never stood a chance competing with other girl groups on the cute concept.

CLC failed due to releasing surrounded by groups that were doing the same concept as them but better and Cube fucking over the fanbases of their senior acts leaving the girls with no company support.

By the time I-DLE debuted, there was no bouncing back no matter what concept they did.

I'm still a little surprised (G)I-DLE is as successful as it is judging from CLC's trajectory. I read somewhere that (G)I-DLE's debut single had less than 1k pre-orders before launch and now LATATA is a certified hit released in several languages. I think people didn't believe Cube would deliver after CLC.

Another teaser for Helicopter

Sounds a little more generic than what I've come to expect from CLC. Could be great though, but I'm keeping my hopes tempered.

Lovelyz new song on the other hand sounds great. Finally something along the lines of what I always wanted from Infinites sister group.

Didn't notice much momentum after No tbh. Devil is a worthwhile successor to No and Me imo. Not full on girl crush, but more of a playful song with attitude. Almost as good as No too. The general public just can't be trusted to recognize a great song even if you inject into directly into their ear drums.

First foreign(?) group to hit 100 million views.

Would have been at 200 million if Akari made the group.

That's gonna be a thing btw. Every time NiziU is brought u, I'm gonna mention Akari in some ham-fisted manner.

Isn't Akari the one who got accused by netizens of shading Sana? Regardless of it was true or not (IIRC I don't think it was after it was looked into), I could see that doing her in.

I've been listening to Ice Cream a lot. Second only to Dumdi Dumdi for summer bops to me.

It's not even a kpop song really, but it is so, so catchy. And Rose's vocals are wonderful as usual

For a range of reasons Lovelyz have been underwhelming since debut. I've also been wanting a girl group version of Infinite, or early BTS. We get flashes in the industry but nothing consistent. Oh My Girl, Gfriend and other similar groups have much better music and sales success than Lovelyz. Mind, I don't think this will have much impact on their fortunes, but why not try something different?

alpha Akari would have been about 10/11 years old when that happened. Sana has been top 3 Twice since day one, but as much as people speculate that incident may have been the reason, it's just so dumb for that to be disqualifying. What's K-Pop without school girl fans being immature, and overprotective of their boy group oppas? Apart from sasaengs, agencies absolutely want that school girl cash flow for their artists.

I'll give Cube credit for their role in G-Idle's success, but I wonder how much of it is due purely to Soyeon's talent and sheer will.

I'll be here quoting all the Akari comments you plug into random discussions, because WTF JYP?
She was already solid all around (relatively), given her age and lack of training. Akari would have just gotten better over time. Either make the group larger, or replace another member that objectively has less stage presence, less charm and singing/rap/dance talent. The members that I like more than her made it into the group, but Akari clearly had a lot of potential.

I don't know how much Sony may have weighed in on the final lineup of NiziU, but JYP has done and said some embarrassing things during this selection process regarding certain members.

By the way, can we start an unofficial trend of nominating our favorite tracks of the month at the end of each month? We can take into consideration not only MVs, but also b-tracks and the works.

I didn't really like it at first, but it grew on me and I've listened it to exhaustion this past week or so, my favorite track of August 2020 is:

I don't even think it ended up being a real thing, but even if it was I'm just saying salty netizens have been known to torpedo someone's career for the dumbest reasons.

That's what I've been saying since day one. Why not just make another female Infinite? Fuck Woolim for wasting Mijoo's talent.

Same. Well rather like I said in the other thread. It was... ok, but not their best. I think now id still say it's not up there with their other title tracks but it is still good and worthy as a title track. IMO.

I remember at the other board, when DNA dropped, I said BTS was the biggest act in kpop and some users laughed at me and some even argued that Twice was more popular.
