just slapping all is subjective like you did earlier, and going "it all depends on how you felt about the movie" isn't any better.
The Flashpoint movie that they're doing next has Afleck as Bruce & sets up the concept of a multiverse - so I think they'll get away with pretending both versions of Justice League are technically canonical - just in different realities.
So they've left an opening to continue off this if the new cut proves popular.
Jason Schreier previously reported on shitty exploitative work conditions and crunch at Sony Santa Monica and Naughty Dog, wasn't into TLOU2. Both Druckmann and Barlog responded to him on Twitter, with Barlog going "You just try to tear us down!" The only people raging in this thread is people that already hate snyder and were salivating to have just one more opportunity to let out their feelings.
...Oh, while also condemning him for a pretty tame retort to a guy trying to debase a trailer that leaked early and that obviously will have some deep emotional ties to a tragic series of events in his life that lead to this moment here.
Zack's Vero and interview he did at Justice Con a few weeks ago. When he shoots on film, it's actually really square and then cropped down to 16:9 or the other aspects, losing a lot of the top and bottom of the frame. He's giving us the full frame because he feels the heroes should stand tall and large on screen.

Despite not being a comics fan himself, it's hilarious just how much Zack's understanding of what constitutes "adult" is syncs up with the mainstream comics industry 1988-present, and it's probably one of the reasons so many hardcore comic fans think he's the capekino savior.

i know everybody's (rightly) clowning on the "movie for grownups" stuff but the "leaked teaser" bit (as though it's some kind of ethical transgression to comment on a leak that's already being widely discussed, a few hours before it's officially released) is just the cherry on the petulant crybaby sundae
Words are failing me to describe how pathetic this is. Also, I gotta agree with the guy who he is throwing a childish tantrum that almost feels like parody: it does feel like the same film, and while I was glad to see him delivering his "vision" of these characters, I'm not feeling at all. I want to watch it, but if the trailer didn't nothing for me, his tantrum did, and doesn't make me confident at all in this.
a four hour miniseries cobbled together from footage that was left on the cutting room floor and the culmination of the guy who did man of steel and batman versus superman's artistic vision? i mean, i'm glad some of y'all have something to look forward to, but oof, no ma'am.
That's not how it works, though. altering frame ratio makes sense in a theater, both because the screen is huge, and because it's more like looking at a picture in a gallery.
This is releasing on TV. TVs are 16:9. Characters won't look taller; the world will simply look cut off.
There's a huge difference between a painting that is 4:3, and a painting that is 16:9, but has black bars on either side.
