My opinion is that it's still a dumb character trait and the justification is just as insultingly dumb ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was asking about the character in general not just his quirk. It's just backstory where he got it from, no one asked for it to get justified.
The point of the backstory is literally justification lol. The character is great otherwise. Especially the faces.
Eh it's just the origin of where he picked it up from. I don't see him picking it up from a woman as any form of justification or people somehow needing to like it now.

I don't think the non-standard thing was about the grade system of sorcerers, more like his way of doing things ruffles some feathers.
He gives me some sus vibes. If he turns out to be a baddie I would not be shocked.
There's some vibes to him where he could really easily turn baddie. There's that stuff about him putting together allies to overthrow the existing power structures - it's not impossible.
We don't really have a good index for how strong he is, I think. He's expended roughly the same amount of effort in every fight so far - minimal, in all of them.
If Gojo was a baddie, the show would have been over by now.
Gojo is also an arrogant dipshit, which is quite justified most of the time, since he IS stronger than everyone else, but that could also lead him to underestimate one entity that could present a real threat.
