Well it'd be a great way to grind wins, though for Koi Koi its played over rounds. So if you only get one awesome hand per play, that's not a great deal. If it gives you an unbeatable hand each round, that'd be a game changer - as You'd set the difficulty all the way up, max out betting and rounds and laugh at the AI.

Not sure off the top of my head I think dude sells an item that gives you a 10-10-1 in 1 Game and a "trips" yokan ? I guess I may have to get them, for science

Only problem is they cost 10k SP each and I have nothing left to spend SP on other than them, so it could be a kinda useless grind. I'll report back!
the most useful use for sp I found endgame was trading it for the master blue print and the other crap to sell it for money. Last G.A. Labs costs 7 million yen (if you wait insanely long I guess it's just 3.5 million) but the steps before that aren't cheap either.

Also drone shit is also a huge money sink

Can someone help me with something because google is coming up blank.

Every now and then you get packages delivered to Yagami's office, usually after a title update. But after picking them up, I cant seem to find where the items go. I just got the "drone parts" package and yet there's no new drone parts in my inventory. All other packages I've picked up seem to have not actually given me anything either.

Yeah it's bullshit but it's probably dupes of shit you already have. It would have been nice if they listed the items acquired from the packages but nope.

Yeah that scene absolutely worked.

It showed how bat shit insane Shono was. The guy started to believe more and more of his own delusions. In the end he even convinced himself that he finally found the cure. And Kido testifying about AD-9 always being deadly (information provided by Shono even) at the very same moment Shono is going to use it made it powerful.

As for Kuroiwa, I think it was also good. He was a gun for hire (most he did prior to the game is killing the vice director, and delivering 3 Yakuza) but not the kind of psycho killer who would stab eyes out. He never understood why the corpses were mutilated like that either and it shows. He went on for a different reason, he thought that solving AD-9 would erase his crimes which is why he didn't want to stop. He was in deep shit.
The whole final chapter and the chapter before shows how many people are willing to do horrible stuff under the impression that it will save people or gain something else out of it. People like Hanmura and Kido pretty much notice how it was all bullshit due to the events that transpired in the story.

I'm trying to clear the Quickstarter goals and each time I pay off one for the G.A. Building, another comes along. The current goal is
$7 million
, does anyone know if this is the last tier? Never mind. I'm an idiot. It says "Final Phase" in the image, not the description.

I really wish there were platinum plates to trade chips for at the casinos. I had 100,000 chips which would equal $10 million, but had to buy and tediously sell drone paints for a third of that. The VR mode has platinum plates so it's odd that that's the only place they're found.

I hate that there are Friends tied to shit like Majong, gambling, and the batting cages. I tend to avoid those parts of these games like the plague, and now I feel like I need to do them.

How do you become friends with the people in Cafe Mijore? You have to get the two people together right? I spoke to both of them but whenever I go there it's just Noritomo and never Miharu, I've left and come back like 7 times and it's just him there and he doesn't talk to me.

That's really fucking strange because I never had any issues with them switching.

I'm in the middle of chapter 3 and I just keep getting distracted by side content. I'm really impressed by the characters and the story so far, it's still a Yakuza game at heart but it has its own tone and feel to it.

So do you have to unlock the ability to eat at Beef Zone or is my game bugged or something?

KamuroGO lists it as a restaurant you can eat at, but the game doesn't let me talk to the guy at the counter.

What do the hidden QR(?) codes look like in the game that you can take pictures of? Are them small? Hidden in a location with a theme?

Weird, but okay. Thanks.

I just started chapter 8, so I'll have to try again.

It's definitely a later chapter. Might even be later than 8. Just letting you know it's not a bug or anything haha

They're on posters, signs, etc, all over the world. I don't think the drone part related ones appear until you meet a certain friend. Finding those ones is part of friending him. But there are some skill move related ones you can find anytime.

I'm finally playing through the story finale. Really good so far. I still have plenty left to do to 100% the game n premium adventure mode, though.

Chapter 8

Wasn't expecting the game to teach me actual information about Alzheirmers when I started it, but hey .. all the more welcome.

Currently waiting for the last Quickstarter to unlock for 100%. This game sure wants you to grind money. I grinded around 20 million from the VR game and it still feels just enough at most.

*Mole shows up, shoots Matsugane, tries to kill Hamura but misses his opportunity*
Me: "Wait, so now Hamura can just tell us who he is right?"
Hamura, literally one second later: "It's Kuroiwa."

I love it when stuff like that happens lol

The tailing missions have made this game a good game as opposed to a great game without them. Early in Chapter 10 and I'm hoping that I'm done with them.

Have really enjoyed most of the side cases as well and I'll echo what others have said that the main cast is really great and here's hoping we get another game with them.

Just beat it. 69 hours, 80.6% done. All friends, side cases, drone races, girlfriends and skills.

I ended up enjoying it more as it went on and I like almost all the characters, except Hoshino and his lame backpack.

The story with the characters talking about families dealing with dementia and Alzheimer's struck a chord with me. My Grandmother went from strong and independent to sobbing and violent in 5 years. She didn't recognize anyone and thought she was in her teens always calling out for her long dead siblings. It tore our family up as she progressively deteriorated.
I'd give it about a 4-4.5/5 (85-90 out of a 100)

Really my main complaint is the amount of missing content compared to the main series. After so many games and so many times in this city, what's not there sticks out.

Negatives- Spoilers(?)

Only 1 city & 1 playable character (Saori's part is so minor I'm not counting it, I mean more like 0, 4, 5 & Dead Souls). No hostess clubs. No hostess management. No karaoke. No equipment or weapons. No locker keys and all the items you'd get. No drugstore. Still no bowling or billiards. No fishing of any kind. No vending machines. No Mr Shakedown or Nouveau Riche. No coliseum. No golf. Cool stuff locked behind pricy DLC. Money is scarce. Pop-in and slowdown. No Dojo training. Yagami's jeans and Hoshino's backpack. Too many chases and tailing missions. No pervy stuff like photography, videos, strip clubs or chatrooms. Why have the cat cafe there and not let me interact?

Positives-
Drones and Kumuro of the Dead are fun. A really good selection of arcade games. No stamina while running. Gashapon machines. The combat is fast and fun. The lock picking is pretty good. The story and characters are well done. VR Paradise is a pretty cool new addition.
I actually liked an Amon fight for once.
Overall the game is a lot of fun.

Let's see if they make a sequel and build upon this one. I'd like to see more options like being able to switch characters midway through a tailing mission or use a drone to tail someone. More photography and examining evidence (pictures, video, files, crime scenes etc..). More locations and a 2nd playable character. A deeper lock picking system

I am at the last chapter now. Never would have thought that it would play out that way. The story gets me hooked everytime. I hope there will be a sequel. I love detective games.

Make sure to pick the same challenge from him, I think I linked you 7 & 8 and make sure to get the right option of going first or second as he does and it will play out identically.
Oh I see, thanks! I tried the first challenge and it worked like a charm. The CPU deviated from the script near the end of the second challenge though. I'll try again later today.

Did you do everything identical? I did the first six so far and it played out exactly the same for each one. Perhaps you accidently skipped a turn or misplaced a piece? Or maybe I got lucky? XD

I really hate Shogi and don't understand it at all. I'd be lost without these videos.

I may have messed up somewhere but I tried to be careful.

I hate shogi as well. I've learned to love mahjong thanks to Yakuza games but I really don't like shogi

Ya, not sure what to do. It's always just Norimoto and talking to him just opens the store.

I only have a few friends left so it's pretty annoying.

edit: I did a story mission and then it worked. Not sure why that was.

It's the same for me. It just looks like convoluted chess, but Yakuza made me love Mahjong.

Anyway, just download an app for your phone and play against the hardest CPU, mimicking the actions of the opponent in Judgment.

Fantastic game, I finished it 2 days ago and man, once it pick up in pace it's hard to put down, you always wanna see what happens next. The characters were pretty good and they seemed to be consistant instead of changing goal or views mid-game or just for "plot twist" sake. The final fight wasn't Yakuza 0 level of epic but...it was pretty good.

Well that was weird. I'm just glad it worked out in the end.

Anyone know if I can knock the difficulty down for a particular optional fight and still be able to put it back on hard afterward? I just don't have the patience for the last phase of the
Amon
fight

I think you can do that by going into options. Y6 allowed it (can't speak for Kiwami 2 but I'm pretty sure it was also the case). I knocked down the difficulty to breeze through it. No shame even though it was a gimmicky fight.

You'll eventually get a skill that lets you hear a loud beeping noise whenever you get near them. Tbh, before I unlocked that skill I didn't even know that QR codes were a thing in this game.
My first QR code is the Tiger Drop because of me hunting down the first cat. I somehow went insane and thought I could find the cat using the drone...
