Sadly, I think this will gain enough traction to remain around for some time. Since Rubes and The Lobster ditched Patreon, their fans have been itching to throw money at them again, and the two have been teasing this thing for awhile. I just hope Dave's brain isn't in recovery mode for too long after taking in so many high level important ideas.

These people thrive on attacking others. When they're in a space all by themselves they eventually turn on each other. It might survive but its not gonna be a threat to any major social media platform. Not even close.

The made a big hullabaloo about a private company determining what and who can be posted on their platform but where completely and utterly silent when the US GOVERNMENT started cracking down on free speech in relation to boycotting Israel. You know, something that actually was an infringement of the 1st amendment.
Also, very few of the extreme individuals that want absolute free speech are going to sign up to a subscription based sight. Lmao. chans exist for that very reason and even then you have extremely paranoid users that will post using a proxy. The site is basically going to be exclusively for the cultists that follow these freaks. So it's going to be an echo-chambers, a safe space, rather than a domain for true discussion.
