When asked whether it is time for a LGBTQ superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Joe told IANS here: "One hundred per cent and you will see one very soon."

oh, I didn't see it, I thought it was just one line implying that one of the female rangers has/had a girlfriend

I mean it was a line... but as part of a pretty solid character building scene and you know was a main character and it was very much in fitting with a teenager just starting to figure out her sexuality.

A far more relateable and effective thing than a dance in the background.

Talk is cheap. Make a lead hero be lgbt and don't bend for China or other shitty backwards countries. Also, make it a core part of the film so you really hammer home inclusivity and diversity.

No, you're right, it's not substantial at all and she's never identified as queer onscreen.

She's identified as a teenager working through her sexuality in the midst of the most significant character building scene in the film... it's relateable. Is it perfect? No... but it's not the queer baiting nonsense that Beauty and the Beast was

It's an effective moment.

Introducing Discrete Man, the sexually-ambiguous superhero with the incredible power to appease both those wanting representation and the demands of worldwide box office takings!

Watch as he does daring acts of bravery such as:
- Looking at another man for a few moments in a meaningless shot that can easily be removed!
- Using innuendos that make it unclear whether he was in love with men or whether he was just "very good friends" with them!
- Manipulating the plot so his sexuality is never actually plot-relevant!
- Magically shrinking on his film's very own poster!

...but not all is well for Discrete Man as the evil villain 'Societ-A' aims to remove his altogether vague and undefined 'different' identity! Can he stop Societ-A's schemes, bring the unclear themes of the plot to a conclusion and save his lover his best friend in the process? Book your tickets now to find out!

This is great news, hopefully it isn't just implied like LeFou in Beauty and the Beast. Both Marvel and of course the Live Action remakes are handled by Disney and it is one of my major complaints is that they are saying characters are gay but then don't show it on screen. Also if I remember correctly same thing happened with Valkyrie in Ragnarok.
