Joe Biden talks about Corn Pop

This thread is a perfect illustration of why "Fake News" logic applies to everyone. Y'all come in here with a Biden hate boner and so are ready to lap up anything presented as "senile Biden" irregardless of any truth.
I don't get it. His story made sense but it feels like you cut off the start of it to make it a bit confusing.
He used to be a lifeguard at this public pool. A guy named Corn Pop, real name Esther Williams, who lead a gang of tough guys, was messing around on the 3 meter board and Joe kicked him out of the pool, calling him by his real name. Corn Pop told him he'd be waiting for him with 3 guys with straight razors when he left work. A co-worker told Joe to take a pool divider as a weapon to threaten Corn Pop with. Joe walked out to his car to face Corn Pop and apologized for calling him Esther Williams instead of Corn Pop and Corn Pop forgave him.

I'm not a Biden fan but calling this dementia is ridiculous. He's an old dude telling a rambling story from when he was a kid.
I'm with you on this for the most part but just want to point out that irregardless is a portmanteau of irrespective and regardless and ends up becoming an antonym due to the double negative of ir- and -less. Don't mean to be a grammar nazi but that's one of the rare words that actually make my eye twitch lol

I don't understand. This is a fairly well told story. I ramble more than that when I try to tell a story and my stories aren't half as interesting. He stayed on topic and all of his asides were brief and relevant. What about this is "trumpian" or supposedly some sort of spectacle?

So apparently troublemakers calling themselves the romans led by a boy called corn pop is real.
But it's interesting Marty said him continueing to show up earned their respect and didn't mention anything about a chain vs rusted blade street fight. Maybe the whole thing sounds fake because Biden set them up as some badass gangbangers and not kids doing dumb kid stuff.

I don't like Biden as a politician, think he is definitely too forgetful and gaffe-prone for the office of president, and that the media is obviously ridiculously biased for him.

I didn't frame this thread as "senile" Joe Biden whatsoever. It was just an extremely random story that I thought was humorous.
Not sure how you can closely follow Biden on the campaign trail and believe that he's not in mental decline

I'm not trying to "cancel" Joe Biden at all. It was just a random story I thought was funny.
This story is completely coherent, there's just a few weird asides because Biden is not a good public speaker.
I don't know if he'll get the nomination, one can never count their chickens too early. I, for one, would prefer Bernie or Warren. But, I'll obviously vote Biden if he ends up getting the nom. Still, I'm not an irrational fool that concocts a narrative of "senile Biden" and then mindlessly agrees with every "news article" titled "BIDEN LOSES IT!" to support my narrative and preferred candidate. It's one thing to not want the man to win, it's another to buy into every false story to justify your dislike of him as candidate.
