ThereAreFourNaan's partner in Bond here. I've thrown together my impressions on the titles we played as well for those who are interested. We share a lot of the same opinions so don't expect too many fresh takes.

James Bond 007 (GB)
Oh boy was this a pleasant surprise. This game kicked off the idea of "bonus objectives" for our mission after I mentioned that I never got an opportunity to play it when I was younger which prompted ThereAreFourNaan's to immediately purchase the title (something which would become increasingly common the more we progressed). This game felt like little was lost in translation from film to game. All the exotic locales, gadgets, weapons, villains, damsels and set pieces (sans vehicle section) you would expect in a typical movie was in this game and very well executed despite limitations. Despite was Naan's mentioned, I did not find the casino section all that frustrating as I recall as failure only meant a short trek to get more cash. On the other hand, the final mission was rather painful, though very satisfying to complete.
Goldeneye (N64)
Everyone knows this title and I don't know any one who didn't enjoy it at some stage or another. I spent a lot of time with this game in both multiplayer and single player however the cartridge I had happened to have all the cheats unlocked, so I had never completed the game on my own merit to my shame. We decided the only way to get the full experience was to play on the Double-0 difficulty and I am so glad we did, the experience offered from the additional objectives far outweighs the brutal strength of the enemies. It was a fantastic time and I have never felt such elation in finishing any title before.
That being said the game has flaws that are hard to overlook today. Naan mentioned the performance problems and iffy controls. We also struggled with a single hit being a death sentence due to a knock back effect that could potentially stun lock you to death, infinitely spawning enemies that would pile up at choke points and the fucking Control mission which is just, urgh (5 and a half hours that one took us).
No regrets though, I have plans to return to it for the final two secret missions and possibly some cheats to unlock.
Tomorrow Never Dies (PS1)
This was one of the few games I had zero experience with going into and I was genuinely excited to give it a go. Naan and I have very different opinions on the film (I quite enjoy it) which also may have coloured my perspective going in but damn if it wasn't an awful title. I think third person is probably the optimal perspective for a Bond game but if you only played this you would vehemently disagree. Aiming is awful, weapons are bland, strafing feels practically useless, it's practically impossible to avoid taking hits so run and gun is your only option. The plot deviations are just bizarre, there was honestly no need. The driving mission featuring the BMW 750iL is particularly awful and features a blurry blob representing Q that regurgitates generic Q dialogue.
Just don't with this one.
The World Is Not Enough (N64)
I briefly experienced this one when I was young and i had the opportunity to rent it but this was the first time I'd spent a decent amount of time on it. I enjoyed it for a fairly polished
FPS title from that generation but as Naan said it had a lot of technical improvements but i think it lacked character and charm that Goldeneye had with its limitations. The additional weapon animations, gadgets, secondary firing modes and such that were added did give the game a much more polished feel though.
Aside from the submarine finale I recall we struggled most with the forced stealth mission at the halfway point, but aside from the more modern titles this was one that we had the least issues with as I recall.
The World Is Not Enough (PS1)
Another game I played but never completed. This game felt like a very watered down version of the N64 title to me back then and also now. No alternate firing modes in this, the gadgets are there but are not nearly as well executed. The N64 version featured a grapple watch that behaved as you'd expect, you fire the grapple at a hook point and it pulled you towards it. The PSX version also featured a grapple watch that when fired at a hook point would drop a very fine looking thread like from Spider-man's web shooter but way less cool, that would gently descend until you could climb up it like a ladder. Far less cinematic. The submarine finale was a little less painful to experience on this version however.
Nitpicking aside this game isn't bad, just bland. Too many things that could not measure up to the more superior N64 title.
007 Racing (PS1)
Oh boy. Unlike Naan I actually quite enjoy the occasional driving game. However going almost directly from TND unfortunately memorable driving mission and the anticipation of steering a vehicle with the fucking D-Pad meant I had pretty low expectations for this game. Somehow it still managed to defy them with it's frankly foul execution. I found it particularly disappointing as the vehicles are generally one of my favourite parts of the franchise and these driving sections can be particularly well executed in other titles (EoN and Nightfire spring to mind).
The amount of cars they crammed into this game is definitely worth mentioning. Some that aren't even properly utilised in the films are given a chance to shine here including the BMW Z3 Roadster from Goldeneye.
Some bizarre choices were made as Naan mentioned. One mission that had us almost screaming at each other involved a climax that had us suddenly attempting to disable a boat using a sniper rifle with the slowest scroll speed I have ever encountered in any video game.
Those cars deserved a whole lot better.
The World Is Not Enough (GBC)
James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire (GC)
Oh boy do I have a soft spot for this title. Naan and I were genuinely blown away by how short this game was but it crammed so much cheesy charm into it. The Bond moments that this game introduced make it feel far more cinematic and I get a little giddy whenever I trigger one and the trumpets blare that Bond theme. A lot of people in this thread have mentioned the jetpack and while it was great in multiplayer I found it quite frustrating to use in the story missions. Anther flaw it had was extremely spongey bosses and a rather boring rail shooter tank section. Bot i love this game and every second I spent cursing the driving in 007 Racing was also spent thinking of the driving missions from this title.
Unsure if I would recommend this game to someone who never experienced it before but I would happily go back and play all 28 minutes of it's story campaign.
James Bond 007: Nightfire (GC)
This is the game that kicked off our whole mission and definitely one of my top 3 titles from the experience. Everything Agent Under Fire introduced, Nightfire perfected. Brosnan allowing his likeness definitely added a bit more legitimacy to the experience and it's one of only a couple titles that allows you to actually use the iconic Walther PPK which is just wonderful. The driving is excellent, the set pieces rock, the gadgets are fun and interesting to use and the story is cheesy and does not take itself at all seriously. I think the villain is very forgettable which is a shame and the voice actor for Bond doesn't do a great job but none of these things really matter. Highly recommend.
James Bond 007: Nightfire (PC)
I bought this game in my early teens thinking I could play the PS2 version I was familiar with but with the superior Mouse and Keyboard controls. I did not know what I had burdened myself with. The game sucks you in with a strong opening mission that allows stealth, alternate paths, a variety of cool weapons and plenty of opportunities to use gadgets. Roughly around the Japanese mansion level it devolves quickly until your playing a game that includes extremely boring and maze like missions, bullshit AI that hit before you can possibly react and bosses that take bullets like they're insults thrown by shy children. It felt like they'd cut the deadline for completion in half and dropped the budget by as much after they had completed the first couple of missions. Avoid.
James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing (GC)
I have mixed feelings about this one. I love the third person perspective, the driving missions are great, Brosnan makes a proper appearance in both likeness and voice, the casting is on point and completely unexpected, motherfucking Jaws is here. However the cover mechanics lack polish at best, this is hampered by a lack of additional armor pick ups and enemies that could take a fair punch. I wouldn't say we didn't enjoy our time on this one but I probably wouldn't rate it highly for actual gameplay. Though I cannot deny how much I enjoyed seeing Willem Dafoe ham it up.
James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing (GBA)
Naan definitely enjoyed this title more than I did. I think it was very ambitious and it pulled it off reasonably well. I thought the purchasable upgrades between missions were a really neat idea and what it borrows from the console version translated quite well. I don't think I loved the perspective it used though i concede it was probably the best one to use given the hardware. Certainly wouldn't tell anyone it's a bad title but it just didn't suit my tastes.
Goldeneye: Rogue Agent (PS2)
This game feels like a lot of wasted potential to me. I love the idea of a game from the perspective of a version of Bond working for the villains. Seeing the classic rivals return was a real treat but I wish they hadn't decided to make the protagonist mute. Seeing an exchange reminiscent of Q and Bond between "Goldeneye" and Scaramanga could have been a lot of fun not to mention all the other hench people and villains in this game.
Gameplay itself I never found engaging or problematic really. Some fun additions that didn't amount to much and Goldeneye abilities that honestly went unused by us for most of the run. No major issues aside from enemies with one hit kill weapons late in the game that caused some minor irritation.
Not bad, but had far more to offer than it delivered.
James Bond 007: From Russia With Love (GC)
I admit, until I read Naans post I had kind of forgotten about this title. I think because we played it fairly early in our mission when we churning through games at a quick pace and it kinda blurred into some of the others. I agree with Naan though, this game features the polish that EoN lacked and it is absolutely glorious being presented with the opportunity to play as Connery. The classic 60's setting is something you don't see often either which was charming. We had a lot of fun with this one and a lot of time was spent taking the piss out of the evil organisation known as "Octopus" due to the fact that MGM did not have the rights to the Spectre organisation and the Blofeld character which had not been an issue for decades. Highly recommended.
007: Quantum of Solace (PS3)
Oof this game. I think out of all that we played this game felt the most like a chore. As Naan said it's CoD with a thin veneer of Bond if you ignore the plot. Folding a chunk of Casino Royale into this game was probably the best choice given how short this game would have been without it. Nothing in here of any note good or bad. Just a boring, joyless slog of a game that clearly lacked any kind of inspiration.
Goldeneye 007 (Wii)
I probably had my expectations a little high for this game. We had originally planned on finishing this on 00 Agent as well given the additional objectives, however only 3 or 4 missions in we caved and dropped the difficulty down for the sake of brevity. The additional objectives boil down to meaningless egg hunts like "find 5 of this item" or "deactivate 3 switches" and honestly it was just tedious. I did enjoy this as a stand alone game rather than a direct comparison to the original and it felt more inspired than QoS while sharing many of the same mechanics. An anticlimactic boss fight let it down a bit but didn't ruin the overall experience.
James Bond 007: Blood Stone (X360)
This game kinda feels like it was designed to kick off a whole new series of titles starring Craig in a proper continuity. I liked what it did with the franchise and it seemed like the right direction for the current film era. Tight controls, the Mark and Execute system Naan mentioned that suited Craig perfectly, stylish levels, gadgets that were understated enough not to ruin the style they had going. If they had kept the variety coming as the game unfolded it would be a top contender but unfortunately it ran out of breath half way through.
007 Legends (X360)
I remember completing this at release and thinking it was an excellent concept but damn if isn't underwhelming. Watering down some of the most iconic Bond moments of the franchise and dropping them into a modern setting does not make a good game. Maybe if you'd spent more than a couple hours per film it could've made something of it but unfortunately every time it gets a bit of momentum going it cuts to Bond drowning and dips into the start of the next film. I guess the devs decided CoD had won First Person Shooters so here we go again, at least the weapon variety is nice.

All said and done this was a really fun journey regardless of the quality of the games. Our top games are practically identical so I won't list them again.
We have discussed a few other franchises we might explore, including a bunch of Terminator titles on PS2 and possibly a few of the Star Wars series. Though we are not stupid enough to attempt to play EVERY Star Wars games in succession. Though we have a few other retro games we'd like to complete before we commit to anything like this again.
