Is this for real?I don't think you're supposed to make posts stating that you're sad here, anymore
it'll ruin the perfect lives of the posters who get depressed when they read this forum

Yeah it fucking sucks. Ive been in Europe since last Friday and in those few days shit has hit the fan. I am constantly skeptical of everyone around me. I panic when I hear a cough, and when someone coughs around me without covering I have to restrain myself from acting out.
Agreed. This would be really helpful. Can we have a separate specific thread about dealing with anxiety, depression, other mental issues, etc during this time? I know the general OT exists in community, but maybe one for here.
Yeah it's a fucking bummer. I'm anxious all the fucking time, and it's a vacuous, invisible thing that you simply cannot tell where it is.
I feel the same. In a way, it's interesting to live during a pandemic of this type. For some reason it's fascinating to me more than anything. Things are breaking down. Huh.
I think it's a little bit perverse to be looking upon something that kills people with fascination, but that's what I feel at the end of the day.
You know, going to work is actually helping keep my mind off all this shit. Which helps because I have mental health issues. What sucks even worse is that summer was upcoming.
People (myself included) were looking forward to holidays, nights out with friends, the olympics and the euros, and so many other events and parties, movies etc.
All pretty much cancelled.
But guess what isnt cancelled?
Work
-_-
The 1950s The Thing from Another World was set in the Arctic.A quibble, but The Thing takes place in Antarctica, not the Arctic.
This.
What's horrifying is not the disease, but the fact that something as "simple" as a "more serious type of flu" can bring our countries to a total standstill.
On the plus side, more time to game indoors and with friends online? That's cheap AND funEverything fun is getting cancelled. Events, travel, movies, sports, I can't even think of it all. On the one hand these aren't the important issues (other than their huge economical affect), but it really adds up when put on top of the uneasiness of the virus.

Take up hiking if you have the means where you live. There's no risk from the virus involved and does wonders for your mental and physical health.
