$9.99 rental and two free months of Hulu. Do it Disney! They're going to budge, I think, the more other companies do this. Disney can't think itself above the current trend of people not going out to the cinema and you could even argue it has a responsibility to encourage people to stay indoors.
$20 is kinda steep for a rental. I know there's a convenience tax, but still
I highly doubt that theater attendance never recovers. Unless this pandemic causes a permanent cultural shift away from all forms of mass gathering and attendance. Which doesn't seem particularly likely.I definitely think they'll try but I'd guess theater attendance will never fully recover after this outbreak and their hand will be forced to continue to practice, especially for non-blockbusters.
Hell yeah. My 4 year old has to stay home with me... she needs stuff to watch while I work.
It feels so right to b--
god damn it

It's less about a cultural shift away from mass gatherings and more about people becoming accustomed to watching brand new releases at home. I'd assume big budget films will still do well in theaters for the foreseeable future though.I highly doubt that theater attendance never recovers. lmaoProbably only 20 bucks because they know people won't be having massive viewing parties, haha.
You can get a 65" for like pennies these days.Maybe? I can't imagine that people won't still want to see Marvel blockbusters on the big screen.

Which is much smaller and has far worse sound than even your midrange multiplex.
pre-tax, you can where I liveHuh? 2 people arent going to see a movie in a theater for less than $20.
It's cheap for families, not for people seeing movies by themselves. AMC sells tickets as low as $9.$20 day one rental is insanely cheap. that's less than a ticket + a subway ride to the theatrein NYC.
I actually agree with you, but we live in a time where convenience has won over quality.Which is much smaller and has far worse sound than even your midrange multiplex.
That's awesome, but the implication of "immediately" means right this moment, but I can't seem to find anything in the article actually pointing to where to get these right now. Feel like better wording could have been used if they didn't have the full details quite yet.
