This makes me want a time crissis collection for ps4 so badDreams uses it extensively.
Also...texting is better with gyro!
"Dude is barely moving the mouse and look at that camera just fly all over the damn place. Mouse look sucks"Is this gif supposed to help that argument? Gyro texting is ass, dude is barely moving the controller and look at that cursor just fly all over the damn place.
They should follow Nintendo and start making gyro aiming standard on their games (the single best use for gyro in console gaming). I mean, they popularized it with their Vita shooters!
Easy fix, uh, just include gyro in controllers moving forward. That one is easy peasy.I know this will make alot of people mad, but whenever i see features like on a gaming system all i can think about is how hard future BC will be. Like the Vita will be impossible to emulate because of its gyro/touchpad/touchscreen stuff, same with DS, 3DS, Wii U. We're going to lose entire libraries of games for little features like this.
I feel like the Dualshock 1 is the equivalent of The Wheel, we can improve the wheel, but we don't need to reinvent the wheel, it works.

Yeah, same. God of War was almost unplayably clunky after getting used to gyro aiming elsewhere.
I like the motion controls in Dreams, however using it for the keyboard doesn't work well due to the small button size, so it's hard to be both quick and precise. I can type way faster with the d-pad.Dreams uses it extensively.

Resident Evil Revelations was amazing with it on 3DS, almost mouse-like. I was really disappointed when I got the PS4 version and it was standard dual stick movement and aiming only.I really wish more shooters uses it for gyro aim assist. Using it in Splatoon made me a believer.
This texting always felt like a neat little tech demo but more unwieldy than anything else. Same with the touchpad.Dreams uses it extensively.

Nah, both work really well, especially if you're inputting a password with capital cases and numbers. This texting always felt like a neat little tech demo but more unwieldy than anything else. Same with the touchpad.

I'm glad it's worked for you but I think you can tell from this post that it is divisive to say the least.Nah, both work really well, especially if you're inputting a password with capital cases and numbers.
Much, much quicker than dpad for me.
There are 3 options (if not 4, can't remember if you can tie your phone to the PS4 and do it that way) for entering text, use whatever works for you.I'm glad it's worked for you but I think you can tell from this post that it is divisive to say the least.
Yeah, thats fine. It's great that they give you the option to use any of the three.I'm glad it's worked for you but I think you can tell from this post that it is divisive to say the least.
I'm playing through the uncharted collection and I'm realizing that they've taken out all the sixaxis motion control pieces. And then I started thinking about the last ps4 game I played that featured any motion controls and all I could remember was infamous second son.
I for one thought the sixaxis was pretty cool and it's a shame to see it get phased out like this.
it's completely crazy to me that shooters on ps4 don't take advantage of DS4's functionality to have gyro aiming, even weirder that sony themselves don't use it for aiming in their own games. first of all, it's just an option. anyone who doesn't like it can turn it off, second of all it's so incredibly superior to analog aiming that it's very hard to go back to simple analog aiming once you're used to it.
I really wish more shooters uses it for gyro aim assist. Using it in Splatoon made me a believer.
Definitely, I don't mind motion controls in like breath of the wild but if a game only has them as the control style I am not interested in playing. Doesn't really happen anymore though except VR gamesYeah, thats fine. It's great that they give you the option to use any of the three.
the hell, Nintendo
Well, sure, but using a dpad for text input is flat out awful compared to literally every other contemporary option, so this appears to be another case of gamers choosing to reject clear advancement because they're used to the old shitI'm glad it's worked for you but I think you can tell from this post that it is divisive to say the least.
The Steam controller is a superb device and feels underutilized.I appreciate the option for Gyro, but this isn't its best use-case. This on the other hand...
I might be old but I find using the dpad to be much faster 🤷♀️Well, sure, but using a dpad for text input is flat out awful compared to literally every other contemporary option, so this appears to be another case of gamers choosing to reject clear advancement because they're used to the old shit
It's because you're old. It's actually Sakurai's adherence to T9 keyboards that first clued us in to the fact that he's actually an ancient immortal.I might be old but I find using the dpad to be much faster 🤷♀️

because consumers spoke with their wallets

This was my gyro is great moment, the small adjustments you can make are amazing
Also I don't think there's any point to keep calling it sixasis. It's just the gyro / accelerometer, it's a standard for every modern controller.
I don't think Xbox has gyro controls in their controller. They were suggesting at launch that Kinect would track the controller to make that possible.Surprised it isn't used in more third party games if Xbox now has it.
I can't do stick aiming anymore. It's like a switch flipped in my brain and it won't turn off.
