Today Ubisoft announced Ghost Recon Breakpoint and pre-orders started. But for PC version currently only options are Epic Store and Ubisoft Store. There are not even physical copies for pre-order on places like Amazon for example. And if we look at two previous Epic Store/Ubisoft Store exclusives The Division 2 and Anno 1800 where they removed those games from all stores after launch things are clear.

I could be wrong and i am still waiting for response from GMG and Fanatical but there is big chance that in the future we won't see Ubisoft games on stores like Green Man Gaming, Voidu, Fanatical...

This is a bad take. Game isn't even up on ubisoft's store yet. Give it some time before declaring the sky is falling. Let it propagate. Most of the time, games start showing up on third party sites days and weeks later. This is anti EGS FUD, come on.

Wasn't there a story recently about them backing away from retailers that sell keys?

Some Epic game store games are showing up on Humble Bundle and Greenman Gaming. It might take a while for this to come more common.

As i said non of the Epic Store/UPlay exclusive games (Division 2, Anno 1800) are available outside those two stores.

They implemented a whole system to let you directly add games to Uplay instead of giving serial keys, they wouldn't have done that if they were planning on exiting other stores entirely. This is just the Epic deal in action.

The Epic deal is the reason you aren't able to get Ghost Recon anywhere else. Any games that are Epic moneyhatted will not appear on other stores and will be Epic and Uplay store exclusives. If Ubisoft releases any games that aren't part of the Epic deal, they will still be available on other stores.

Basically fuck Epic.

No. They made them implement a system where you have to connect that retailer's account to your Uplay account. So when you buy the game, you don't get a key but it gets directly activated to your Uplay account instead.

They're trying to kill key ebays like G2A, not the authorized sellers that make deals with publishers.

Just to clear thing up. Ubisoft extended their deal with Epic, so for foreseeable future all their games will be released on Epic Store (with few exceptions now and then like Starlink). That means no sales outside of those two stores.

First of all, while Uplay keys for The Division 2 and Anno 1800 were sold on just a few 3rd party stores, they were immediately taken off sale once the games were released. It's still limiting the consumer of options and also Ubisoft cutting off 3rd party storefronts.

Second, OP wasn't complaining about EGS exclusivity, they were pointing out how it's becoming a trend that Ubisoft is backing off of having their games for sale on 3rd party storefronts.
