I mean, when I played the first God of War, I expected cheese, plus PS2 levels of storytelling. God of War 3 Kratos' face of constipation was something else.Here is more:
Everytime VR is brought up in the series it leaves multiple casualties. Kaiba almost reached the after life during an intense VR session. And we just avoided a Third Impact in the current show.

Was this supposed to be "Moon Attack" or something since the robot here seems to be doing a moon slash thing?
Looking it up it is actually called.. Moon Scraper, which makes more sense there.

It's a joke because in the anime they always explain the effect even though the viewer already knows
Man Yu-Gi-Oh VR would be amazing, was talking about it just a couple of weeks ago with friends, but they'd have to animate so many models and effects
Even a relatively lazy approach could be pretty exciting, to be honest. The potential is insanely high though, I agree.
