I think Woody kind of sucks actually. Always liked Buzz way more. But in Toy Story 4 it almost felt like he was barely a part of it. Almost like Tim Allen wouldn't do the part so they pieced together previous voice clips for the 4th movie like South Park did with Chef. I know that isn't the case, but it sure felt like it.
To be far to OP, Mario and Woody are relevant. What the fuck is Disney doing with Mickey Mouse doing these days?

Disney just opened their first Mickey Mouse centric ride a few weeks ago using these shorts as the basis of the ride.
Uhh the new Mickey Mouse shorts have been going on for 6+ years, are a massive hit, and have won a ton of awards.

Pixar while owned by Disney isn't really "Disney" as all their work is identified until the Pixar moniker.
I think it's more accurate to say Mario is more relevant among a wider demographic. Mickey's clubhouse is still very big with little kids.
I need OP to help fill in some gaps here but they immediately were raptured after making this perfect thread.
I imagine Mickey's Clubhouse and Roadsters (whatever it's called) are also fairly popular with kids.
I don't think Disney has had an issue with keeping Mickey relevant to kids.
