Is it even possible to pull off the scarf look without looking or feeling like an asshole? (semi serious)

While I'm currently enjoying the brief northern summer, one small benefit of having six month winters is that I can wear my coat and a scarf.
It's no more unnecessary than a tie, or other fashion accessories

Sure. I use to were them all the time, just maybe stay away from matching them with a tshirt like in that photo.

I usually wear it under a coat/jacket or a denim jacket. Idk, maybe it looks a bit too overdressed but I never thought it looked "asshole". It's cold, wtf you want me to do? Scarves are also a very easy way to add a contrasting colour.

I think I know what OP means cause those guys all look like assholes.

Every week there's a "men look horrible in x" thread, whether it starts off as one or just devolves into one because y'all can't help but think only about your gendered perspectives, and at the end of the day, I don't know how some of you people dress yourselves in the first place without projecting your insecurities over every piece of fabric in your wardrobe

People are just joking because it looks to be the size of a stair carpet, I doubt many are really looking at the style side of it at all.
It looks like two shades of the same fabric, which I'm not keen on. If the scarf had a pattern or an interesting texture, it'd be nicer. Thanks for the responses. Looks like the only warmth I'll be getting from my scarf is from when I burn it. 😭
It totally would work with a different scarf. A gray scarf, similar fabric, no pattern, that's why it's a problem.
When you sign up for Era they ask you if you've ever touched grass and if you say yes you're not allowed in.
It's for the greater good, Guppeth doesn't know much about anything, but he knows scarves.
I don't think OP should give up so easily, but maybe he lives somewhere that's warm-ish all year, so doesn't own any coats or even a cardigan.
