I've played GTSport more than other Sony first party titles, so yes. Also interested in what Polyphony will do with hardware ray tracing given how good the current game already looks.

GT3 didn't reach 15 million in 2 years. It took nearly the entire span of the PS2's lifespan.

Sure, but nothing indicates that GT Sport is on track to ever hit such a milestone. I'm just saying that several other Sony first party games are and other have surpassed it already.

That is not to say that Gran Turismo still isn't a very successful franchise since the amount of tracked players GT Sport has is really impressive in two years. For a racing sim that is outstanding in today's market that has seen a staggering decline in the genre.

I just think Sony needs to push Gran Turismo PS5 a lot harder in NA, the marketing felt soft for GT Sport here and I think it really hurt the launch (among other issues like lack of content ready).

They'll launch an expanded/enhanced GT Sport with the PS5 (DLC for PS4 owners) and you'll get the next one in 2022. The game has long legs and will be here for a while.

At this moment no.
I was a GT fan from GT3. Really loved GT4 and it's one of the best games of my life. Bought PS3 for GT5 (not even for amazing games like God of War 3, MGS4 and Uncharted 2). And GT7 was one of the reasons I bought PS4.
But after GTS and its focus on online, GT isn't my favorite game these days. The game has amazing quality in most sections, from gameplay to graphics and other things, but I'm not an online player and GTS wasn't that good for someone like me. It became better and better with updates, but still isn't comparable to previous GT games in the terms of single player campaign. So I'll wait for some information about GT7 or GTS2 or whatever it is, and hope to see another amazing game with BOTH fantastic offline and online sections.

Hell nah, they didn't even finish GT6. The VisionGT gallery is mostly lies. Fool me once...

I loved Vision Gran Turismo idea and most of those cars were so cool, but it's sad to see some of the most interesting brands didn't make their cars for GT.
Really wanted to see Nike Two, after that amazing Nike One car.

There's no way they don't release some sort of enhancement patch for PS5. The franchise is just too important not to use as a showcase during that PS5 launch window, especially as GT 7 is probably a little way off yet.

I will buy a PS5 because of Sony 1st party studios, not for one specific title. With that been said GT is my fav racer series for past 21 years. GT: Sport is hands down the best racer in a long long time. The PS5 GT, whatever it ends up being...will melt faces, and indeed faeces.

Gt sport is my game of the generation! Play it daily and am really lovin it ! Played it since release and eith the free dlc they gave its just amazing. Im a big gt fan since i got a ps2 and gt3.
But i love gt sport so much because of the new focus on esports. Its a new game finally and it needed the refresh.
So yes iam mostly buying a ps5 for gt 7 but i would be very disappointed if they went back to old scool gt style game.
They should find a nice combo between gt sport and old scool gt. Would love the customalisation like gt6 back like the dashboard editor where you could add boost meters etc and the spoiler editor those where really unique customalisation stuff nobody does !
But mostly i want them to continue on gt sport ! That game is just freakin brilliant ! Gotg easily.

I feel exactly the same. The single minded focus on graphics while the cars remain like bumper cars with dated sound effects; the fact that Driveclub came out and delivered superior sound and an exciting experience even at 30fps, really soured me on GT.

Of course, precision driving in GT at 60fps in nurburgring at high speed is a different excitement as well, but it's just so clinical and same old and sounds terrible.

Have you played GTS though? It sounds better and more accurate than Driveclub.

I mean, Forza overtook GT years ago, would certainly buy if I only have a PS5, but it's for sure their most fallen from grace exclusive franchise.

Nah, even though I like Gran Turismo and played it a lot as a kid.

I'm interesting in the PS5 for the brand new things it will bring to the table. Can't wait to see what it will do.

They would need to bring back the car and track library of the pre-Sport games for me to be interested again. I played Sport when Sony cratered the price a month after launch and loved the handling, but the game didn't hold my interest because there was so little content. All the focus on multiplayer left me behind because I'm just not interested in that; all I had was a drastically cut back car and track count with no singleplayer campaign to plug away at. And I know they've added a lot to it, but even with all its updates there's still nowhere near as much game as GT5 and 6 had.

tl;dr I'd buy a GT7, but not a GT Sport 2.

Gran Turismo is always one of the main reasons to buy a PlayStation console.

GT Sport for me is the best entry in the franchise and I hope Polyphony will continue the same GaaS concept for the PS5 GT game. It fits the the developing time Polyphony usually needs so well.

Also I believe it will be one of the best graphical showcases of the console and a great VR experience.

I think it will be...Next GT should have more of the stuff we love as Kaz has stated such in interviews after Sport launched.

So we'll potentially get the best MP online racing and CarRpg for the SP in one game. should be a nice return for the series.

God no, I used to love GT but then Forza came along and pretty much took over for me.

If this poll was 'is forza the only reason you bought an Xbox one and probably a Scarlett' then I'd of said yes for sure

"No reason to buy a PS5, but I'm (maybe) interested if it is more like the traditional Gran Turismo games."

is more accurate for me. So I voted for NO, despite I like racing games.

Nah, I've owned all Playstations and I've never owned a GT game. I don't hate driving games, but they're always last on the list for me. I did play Drive Club for a while and I quite liked that. Motorstorm was also a fun series.

I will buy another Gran Turismo when there is a CarPG like 'campaign' with second hand card, credits and ideally some kind of map. That's what I love about the series, and I'll come back the day that comes back.

It wasn't a reason to buy PS4 and it won't be a reason for PS5 for me.
If they release a new game, it will most likely be bundled and that will probably move units because of the name. In the end it's the only IP Sony has that released on every PlayStation generation and has the biggest legacy.

Horizon 2 is probably the game that will make me buy a PS5 tbh, but that's why I like PlayStation, it's pretty diverse.

I enjoyed some of my time with GT Sport, but if the next game doesn't have a comprehensive career mode I'm not touching it.

I will need something to replace GT Sport at some stage and no other console racer is anywhere near providing enjoyable online competition.

Hell yeah.. From the PS1 days.. GT is synonymous with photorealistic graphics for each era. So hell yeah Im down for a PS5 Gran Turismo. And yes, back in the PS1 days I thought.. "this looks photorealistic af". My eyes melt every generation because of GT, but GT Sport gave me more "How do they get better graphics than this" moments more than any other GT.
Playing it on a proper 4K tv with 1000+Nits HDR, it's mind blowing at times. Just what the hell will PD do next gen?

Hell no, the only racing series that would ever incline me toward a new console is Burnout, and the series has already peaked with 3.

There was supposed to be a Gran Turismo with the launch of PS4.... I'm so laughing. Actually crying. I didn't like Sport. It has to be more in the old way.

GT has been dead to me after 5 (like many people looking at sales numbers). I didn't care for GT6 like everyone else because it came out the same week as PS4, GT Sport was hollow at launch and still not a traditional GT game.

I just want a GT7 like the previous games.

Sport is great, but I don't care about such exclusives anymore. I buy a PS5 because I am locked within their ecosystem and generally like the output Sony delivers. Its my main choice since the first one.

With GT5 I couldn't wait, and that game was trash. GT6 I didn't even buy and GTS I bought for a bargain like one month after launch. But thats actually the best and most replayable GT ever for me. Its probably the best racer on the system but I hardly put time in it nowadays.

It used to be something natural: you bought a PS console, you bought Gran Turismo games for it, but not anymore.

We'll see if they are able to launch a complete game this time and not this early access trash with yet another campaign of misinformation and lies.

I love Gran Turismo but it certainly isn't the one reason why I'll be buying a PS5 at launch. I'd be buying one if there was a GT on the system or not.
