Don't care about 5G, don't care about USB-C, and the notch doesn't bother me.

This thing looks like a good upgrade from my 8 Plus. Maybe in the new year.

Night Mode is probably my biggest thing.

The iphone 11 is sub 1080p?? Wuttt

I feel they just named the 'real' iphone 11 the 11 Pro.
And the 11 is just the R series.

Marketing shenanigans.

Also, 810€ for the base 11 here in Spain.

Every tech site out there worth a damn should write an article shaming Apple for selling 64GB phones

Honestly, i've had my iPhone 8 for like two years now and I just checked, I use exactly half of my 64 gigs of storage.

What exactly are you people storing on your phones? I haven't felt storage space as a restriction since I got a decent data plan, stream everything and have terabytes+ of storage in the cloud.

All in all a good upgrade in my opinion. If the battery lifetime is really that much increased, I might bite. The new camera seems awesome.

Looks like decent upgrades on the 11 vs. the XR. Better camera, new CPU, launch price $50 lower (or same price for double the memory). Still not a big fan of the non-B&W color options, but I'm sure they sell well enough.

I think it's fine on the 11 for $699, but it's super egregious on the 11 "Pro" that costs over $1000, even worse that the upgrade costs a full $100.
Yeah, it's unacceptable for the Pro model. Imagine recording 4x 4k60 video streams to that 64GB. You'll be able to record like 25 minutes on a completely empty device.

AND non expandable memory...

That too. My wife is due for a new phone and I was excited to see what they'd roll out for these new models - I like pretty much everything about them other than the price for that base model. It's absurd.

I did not pay much more than that base Pro Max for a 512GB S10+, and it has expandable storage too (that I will probably never use, but still). She's still stuck in the Apple ecosystem, and the 11 Pro Max is a great looking, premium phone with a stupidly small amount of storage.

I'm sure Apple knows how many people are using 64gb on their phone...
I'd bet 90% of people with 64gb phones arent using all their space. I have kids and take pictures and videos all the time.. I have 16gb free. They arent going to do it just because.

Thats why they have all the money.

64GB base is fine for the people who buy this phone and don't take photos and videos with the amazing cameras.

Just checked, I use 21.4 GB on my iPhone X and don't even use all apps. A 32GB option would be fine

The 64GB base model is an old-school marketing trick. It allows them to advertise a relatively cheap price for the hardware. They don't even have a 128GB bump. For all intents and purposes the 256GB model is the true base. Smart as hell from Apple. They know how to make money. I bet they don't produce as many 64GB models compared to 256GB+. For folks serious about buying the Pro surely they realize 64GB is not suitable for the types of media they will be generating, especially if 4K video is involved.

a 256gb 11 pro Max with my X trade-in is $850. I'm good, will stick with the X.

UK shafted again with a £49 price hike on the pros in comparison to last years model.
I'm sure the price has stayed the same in € markets and USA

Then again, who can blame them. Take advantage of the chaos here.

It's always kind of weird to me to see people so against expensive phones. I get that it's a lot of money, but there isn't any other product I've ever owned that I used more often or for more things. The value proposition even at twice the price is probably better than anything any of us have ever purchased.

I have a 64gb iPhone 8 Plus and have 13gb free. A 200gb iCloud drive might help. lol

64GB is enough space but starting at 1.1k for 64GB of storage in 2019 is just....wow

Yeah people really overestimate how much space the average person needs. They don't sell hundreds of millions of these only to people just like you.

Gonna wait for next year's models, but man next year is going to be expensive considering next gen consoles are coming as well.

I imagine Apple will be holding the 64GB line for quite a while yet...

Once they hit 128gb.. very few people will need to upgrade the storage.
