Alright, thanks!Hard to say, since I upgraded from iOS13 and everything seems the same.

It's the Home section. It uses 8 slots even if you only need 4 buttons. On my 8 Plus it causes the bottom row of buttons (the ones I use the most) to be cut off by the bottom of the screen. What is that extra row of 4 empty icons in the control centre?
I do like the shortcuts to turn on/off my lights (though I rather use my Nest Mini). But seriously, what were they thinking? It's the Home section. It uses 8 slots even if you only need 4 buttons. Yeah, it needs to be way more customisable. The whole of Control Center needs to be. I want to ditch that Screen Sharing button, and the volume slider.I do like the shortcuts to turn on/off my lights (though I rather use my Nest Mini). But seriously, what were they thinking?
Are there any cool widgets in the wild yet? I've seen some talk of Carrot Weather, but I use Dark Sky and will wait for that.
The only updated app I have is Day One. That got some cool-looking widgets but I rarely use the app these days.
Yeah, not sure why Apple is so against removing some of that stuff. Who uses the volume slider, while you can just press the buttons on the side?Yeah, it needs to be way more customisable. The whole of Control Center needs to be. I want to ditch that Screen Sharing button, and the volume slider.
Ah, well... No actual News app for us Finns, so I can't block sources since I can't access the feed.
So in other words, this
It's hilariously stupid. I just want a periodically refreshing widget with top stories from one or two sites I actually am willing to read. I really don't understand what the hell Apple has been thinking with their News app.
News+ is only available in Apple One Premier, Premier is only available in one of those four countries.so dumb. especially if they start bundling news+ in apple one, a lot of people are gonna be confused about how shitty it is
Weather Line has a widget, I guess? I don't know how I survived using the default Weather app's widget during the beta. It shows like six hours or something. Are there any cool widgets in the wild yet? I've seen some talk of Carrot Weather, but I use Dark Sky and will wait for that.

uh wut? no i don't think that's the case.Wait, so in order to use an app's widget, the app itself needs to be on the Home Screen and not in the App Library?
This is beyond stupid, if it's on the home screen somewhere I'm best off just using the app itself.
These should work fine - but they'll still only be available on the today screen and at the bottom of the list. This is how Dark Sky works for me anyway.
Well that's a relief. Thanks. These will still work fine in iOS 14 (they do for me at least) and can only be used like in iOS 13 (= no home screen). They will be killed in iOS 15 though afaik. So hopefully they will allow interactive widgets next year.
No, they decreased the space between the icon rows. It added something like half an icon's worth of extra space to the bottom of the page. I assume they did it to achieve nicer looking widgets.Did there used to be this much wasted space above the dock before? I can't even remember now. It's throwing me off.

don't have the TV app nor Apollo on my home screen.

Yes turns out the Fitness+ is also only available in one of those four countries as well.oh OK. i still may jump to that next year with a series 7 watch.
4k videos of my kids are ballooning my icloud space lol
Honestly, I just wish there was a way to make the alphabetized app list that appears when you search in the App Library the default view.

That sucks, I was thinking about that one since I've been trying to be more active in recent months again.
I can't update my Apple Watch because there's not enough space even thought I just uninstalled everything

I have the same problem, except some time the bug triggers itself and for the rest of the times it works fine.Got updated.
I'm using 12.9in 2018 iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard. I have this annoying glitch that didn't exist before where all my messaging apps pop up the digital keyboard even when I'm attached to the Magic Keyboard.
Anyone know if iPadOS14 toggled that back on or if it's legitimately a bug? I can't find a setting to turn it off.

I was wondering the same thing about the space. I honestly wish they would just unstick these icons and let me get to work arranging my shit after all these years.
Did there used to be this much wasted space above the dock before? I can't even remember now. It's throwing me off.
Having a few Wi-Fi issues since upgrading also.
Where's the new Siri look? When I say "Hey Siri" she still goes into full screen mode.
Turns out it as the type to Siri option on in accessibility that stopped the new compact one working.
Yeah it's awful.

Yes the only reason I'd even want to glance in the library. It's an organised awful mess otherwise.Honestly, I just wish there was a way to make the alphabetized app list that appears when you search in the App Library the default view.
it still supports scrolling its just less obvious about itHA! they changed the input when you get an alarm.
no more scrolling input for hour and min but you put in the time yourself.
thanks need to check that out then :)
Just spent 30 mins flicking between different dolby almost movies on the TV app on my phone to test spacial audio. I'm impressed. It's weird though, weirdly... good?
