Kinda sucks that there are no back paddles. Other than that it looks nice.
Lol wut? Yes, it's just youReally not a fan of the design, I get strong vibes of this Madcatz 360 controller.
Is it just me?
Alright
Uh... i recall joking around about them with my SO some weeks ago, tbh...
Except you're still assuming that the majority of people either...
A) Think the controller is ugly.
B) Care nearly as much about this as you do.
You sit with a controller for thousands of hours. Not looking at it. And until you have it in your hands, criticizing the changes to the form factor mean absolutely nothing.
Here's some feedback from a person that's actually held the controller. So maybe hold off on your doom and gloom for a bit.
You have light on the back:As many said on the forum - it resembles Astrobot color scheme which is ironic, since it breaks the compatibility with PSVR (no lightbar).
I hope so!
Don't know why I keep seeing plus size camisole top.The gradient really softens the contrast between the two colors. I like it.
I'll give them this, it certainly feels more next gen than the competition. Risky for sure
I think the white is very distracting, but whatever. What I find completely unnecessary is the removal of the color on buttons. I'm so sick of design choices taking precedence over accesibility features, and companies assuming you have every button memorized. A lot of people remember buttons better by color than by icon.
Are the buttons still normal and raised, or is the photo weird? They look flat or something.
this looks better... still not sold but I would prefer this a ton lol
I find the PS3 controller a little easier to use if it could be upgraded in a few spots.
Yeah..they'd be stupid not to.All of a sudden the colour combo potential makes me wonder whether Sony will follow MS's suit and provide a 'Design Labs' equivalent.
Can you do an all white with black joy sticks, triggers, create buttons, and DPAD? Also keeping the colors buttons on the right?
A controversial design means lots of people are talking about it. It doesn't mean much beyond that at this point. Like I said, none of this will matter once we actually get our hands on the controller. If it feels good in the hands then that's what matters the most to players.Era and most social media ballooned alarmingly fast. The vast majority of the discussion revolves around controversy in the aesthetic and design. This is one of the biggest brands in entertainment, so you can bet your sweet ass this matters to people. Again, it won't make or break the console, but it certainly counts.
Also, a lot of folk actually do look at their controllers. If you don't play games a lot, if you use different sets of hardware, if you are trying a new game and need to reference the layout. You aren't glued to it, but glancing at it or studying it is commonplace. This topic has merit.
