He definitely lost the benefit of the doubt sexism-wise to me."You will feel ashamed of your words & deeds"
I think he lost a lood of goodwill with MGSV.
God no. His directing is just a high budget B movie style. He should learn "less is more".
Nah, Kojima actually gets his games finished (with the exception of MGS 5).
Actors really enjoyed working with Uwe Boll. Plenty of drunken, phoned in performances from good actors. It's not always a recipe for great acting.
... i mean, we will never know if he can make good movie if he dont try at firstWe have decades of examples of his game writing and film-like cutscenes; people are commenting on whether that would translate well to film.
Like I get that some people are being rude here, but do you guys want people to not discuss the man and his past work or something? Thread full of "go for it!" is all that is acceptable to you?
it will be glorious.Oh god no. Is the implication that Kojima would be the auteur? I think one of the takeaways from the DS response is that even game critics have grown past his storytelling shtick. Film critics are way more critical, and film standards are way higher. He'll get eaten alive.
Worked out well for Squaresoft when they made The Spirits Within. This sounds like Kojima is ready to burn a huge pile of his own cash.
... i mean, we will never know if he can make good movie if he dont try at first
Just like Nolan then.
Fair, but I don't think sexism is the main reason that most people dislike him these days. I think most people are upset about his fame.He definitely lost the benefit of the doubt sexism-wise to me.
Would you say he'd be ashamed with his words and deedsI'm convinced that del Toro and these other actors and directors have never played his games, since they don't have a clue how sexist and exploitative Kojima can be.
Heck, a few of del Toro's movies have had themes of anti-sexism in them. I'd think he'd he'd be embarrassed if he was more aware of Kojima's portrayal of women.
