That's the best part of this generation, because graphics were already great. Performance and speed is what was lacking before. It was pretty clear that the frame rate and load times were the focus over the graphics.

Like....what?I bought a PS5 at launch and haven't played a single game on it so I understand you, OP.
Because the price is the same regardless so why notI never get why people get a new system at launch.
Getting one a year+ in is always the right call.
I have a 3090 with both next-gen consoles and I agree with this statement 100%.I'm beyond impressed by both next gen systems and I already had my "wow this is next gen" moment with both. I have a 3080 and I still think both consoles are impressive af and formidable alternatives to high end PC gaming experience.
What's so surprising about that.
How is it not surprising to buy an entire console and not play a single game, especially since the PS5 comes with one of the most charming little games pre-installed?What's so surprising about that.
my first game will be Persona 5 Strikers which I got a couple of days ago.
This makes no sense in relation to this thread.I bought a PS5 at launch and haven't played a single game on it so I understand you, OP.

Consoles are clearly not for you then.Yeah but I've had that in my PC for years. Why would I spend another $600 for such a lackluster lineup at launch?
I'd rather wait until there's a decent library instead of posting the same threads on Era that happen every generation about a new system being disappointing.
I'm not sure how to discuss when we're this forehead deep in subjectivity. The leap in asset fidelity Demon's Souls brings, while running at 60fps, is just at a glance far beyond anything running on the PS4 Pro. On a technical level it's a showcase of what wasn't possible on previous hardware.I actually really enjoyed Shadowfall (Killzone 2 is my second favorite game of all time btw.) The reason I mention Shadowfall here is b/c if felt like a next-gen experience. It looked phenomenal and displayed things I had never seen up tot that point. The PS5 has some amazing launch games; that is not the point I am making, and should be evident if you read the OP.
100% this.

All the SSD's do is load my disappointment instantly instead of making me wait two minutes to be depressed.
