The fact that it has these three is enough for me to be excited about this. I was worried that Japanese games might not get that much of the spotlight this year, so this is pretty neat.
Sony will live stream Cerny dancing and then at the end of the 4 hour dance routine he'll reveal the console itself and the price.
No ones asked yet, I'll do it.
Geoff, with COVID-19, and the cancellation of E3, any chance you'll be providing any gaming coverage these next few months?
Interviews with devs via Zoom or Skype or whatever, showing gameplay demos, etc.
I'm sure a lot of people here would love to see you interviewing various devs and giving game impressions on demos :).
Can you guess which month is the most likely for this digital event? June or July ?Certainly thinking about it! It's really important to me that if we do anything, we're all going to do it all together as an industry. That's what the idea E3 represented to me -- everyone coming together to celebrate games. I'm only going to press "go" when I feel like we have something that properly represents our industry to the world.
It's obviously a very challenging time right now -- a lot of teams are trying to figure out how to build their games under these new circumstances. In many ways games are more important than ever right now.
Will keep everyone posted -- please rest assured there are lots of conversations happening. I'm a fan just like you guys and want to find a way to rally everyone around the right center of gravity.
Why would they? This is just IGN literally doing their job of previewing games and creating news content.Kinda hate that IGN is organizing it. Could the publishers not do it themselves?
Yep, it's a pretty smart move honestly.
When's Judgment on PC?The fact that it has these three is enough for me to be excited about this. I was worried that Japanese games might not get that much of the spotlight this year, so this is pretty neat.
ehhh
not a fan of IGNs content so my hope is p low for this being good unless its literally E3 without a crowd

That game will be delayed to 2021 no doubtI crave nothing more than Elden Ring. Like holy hell, nothing even comes close.
What exactly is wrong with IGNs content....did I miss something somewhere down the line?
I still follow alot of their videos and stuff and havent seen any major issues....and their series of watching movies with the producers is absolutely brilliant.
I watch/listen to pretty much all their console specific podcasts (Unlocked(X), Beyond(P),Voice Chat(N)) and they are all great.
And their E3 coverage is also pretty good, they seem to have good relationships with alot of devs and publishers.
What exactly is the problem here or is it just bandwagon hate for the big guy?
P.S If you are gonna bring up plagiarismgate please dont bother, one writer cant spoil the entire company and all its content.
In the current context a March 2021 release would have been perfect but FOR NOW holidays 2020 is still the official launch date and it was confirmed twice by sony and still shown on the PS5 website.
With XSX releasing in November do they really have the choice anymore ? X1 messed up its launch (price, kinect with it, always online controversy etc) and never recovered from it (alongside a lack of enough ambitious first parties of course).

It's mostly grievances about specific reviews, I think, that add up over time. People always forget that IGN isn't one person. What exactly is wrong with IGNs content....did I miss something somewhere down the line?

Hopefully there.
Well, I was mostly looking at Bandai and Sega tbh. As long as I get some more Y7 stuff, I'll be good. Though I suspect we'll get an update on Babylon's Fall and Nier Remaster from Square at the very least.I mean, the big "Japanese game" from Square is likely to be Avengers.
We might be in for an FFXVI reveal this year but that would probably be at Sony's big PS5 unveiling.
For the most part - they probably are upset about a review score or two. They make pretty good content and great podcasts. So it's tough to say what other reason there could be.This reaction being echoed throughout the thread boggles my mind. The hate for IGN is something else. What are the reasons that people have?

Keep doing what you're doing. I 100% agree that that is what it SHOULD be. I am confident that whatever you end up doing will be great, and I'll be there to watch it.Certainly thinking about it! Do you know if Nintendo is still doing a direct before E3?
