This.
To be fair, those systems were very recent at the time. That would be comparable to PS4 games skyrocketing in price because the PS5 could play them. It doesn't happen so quickly.Did the used prices of PS1 and PS2 games skyrocket when it was announced that the first iteration of PS3 would be backwards-compatible?
PS1 games aren't that overpriced. And PS2 games are dirt cheap bar a few exceptions.Good luck. Prices for games from the PSone era are waaay overpriced, same with the big titles from the PS2 era.
Should have started this at least 10 years ago
Yup, count me in this boat too.Same here. I don't have to start a collection if I already have one!
I'd really appreciate Some sort of initiative to let us digitize some of these old games on discs. Even if it involved some fee.
Yeah. I've got tons of game boxes sitting in storage bins that sit in a closet. I largely think excessive game discs looks tacky in most living room displays, too. That closet space could better be used for other things.
I would love that. I never trade my games, so I have all PS2 and PS3 Hard Copies at home. WOULD LOVE to play them again with up conversion and all.I've been thinking lately that if the PS5 has full, unrestricted backwards compatibility and ability to just load old disks, I might start a retro collection. I like the idea of having a bunch of key titles on their original disks. Crash 1,2,3, Tomb Raider, Tekken, Wipeout, Shadow of the Collossus, MGS... You get the idea. I reckon second hand disks are going to skyrocket in price though. How about you guys?
