The economic and psychological impact is tremendous. People are baying for Trump's blood. All other nations have managed to control the spread of the virus to a few hundred thousand cases.
A few months later, deep into the winter, the second wave of Covid-19 arrives. Countries across the world are vulnerable, and forced to repeat the harsh lockdown measures of the past. Except America. Because all of the survivors are immune to the virus. So people in U.S.A can just keep working and living their normal lives.
To be clear, this sounds like an implausible scenario. The last time a country tried the "herd immunity" idea, its Prime Minister (Boris Johnson) ended up in the ICU. But will networks like Fox News find a way to retroactively eulogize Trump's moronic mismanagement as sheer genius if the above comes to pass? What do you think?
