Video from Buckeye, Ariz., shows a man in his truck yelling at a family in line for a food drive to "get a f---king job."

The video, obtained and reported by local CBS News affiliate Arizona's Family, shows a man in a white truck yelling at the family while they waited in their car on Thursday for food offered by a local church's food drive.

The family, which asked the outlet to remain anonymous out of fear of retaliation, says the man accused them of not needing the free food and yelled at them in front of their four young children. The parents said they've been struggling like many families during the coronavirus

The man apparently works/owns HighSide Electric in Buckeye AZ, as his truck in the video shows. I assume their day is going to go poorly.
The kicker? The company took the pandemic loan at the beginning of last year.

Fuck these kinds of people.

Arizona's Family said it also identified and spoke to the man in the truck who yelled at the family, and he told the outlet he stands by what he said, adding: "Those people need to go to work. They should be ashamed of themselves."

Yikes.

Truly a fool. Classist spite and he committed the act with his business information to the naked eye. I hope he expects his business to be hurt because of this.

How wonderful would it be if he loses his job/business and stumbles across that family again while in the line himself. Dull fuck wouldn't even see the irony

What a piece of shit, but hey, at least he was fucking stupid enough to do it in his own company's vehicle, so people know who to avoid.

What a piece of shit.

Incoming tearful non-apology in a few weeks when this guy finds out no one wants to give him business anymore. He'll probably say something about how those hateful words don't represent him.

Did he do this because he recognized them and knew they didn't need assistance or was it because they don't look like him? My money is on the latter.

And just like that, he'll find himself out of a job with a closed down business and in that same food line. All because he couldn't keep his mouth shut.

Anyone know if the family he yelled at were minorities or not?

Companies deserve government money but people should die before taking it.

M'erica!

Also, he's an entitled asshole, so of course he thinks this way, as do most Republican voters.

What's even worse is he talked directly to one of the children and told him that his father was pathetic for failing to feed him. Who the fuck does something like that?

These guys ALWAYS like to use their work trucks (complete with company names/addresses on the sides) for when they do these things :/

Aside from this one dude being a news-grade asshole, this kind of thing strikes me as being part and parcel with right-wing efforts to strip any form of social assistance from the role of government. If we're entitled to support as a human right, like shelter or in this case food, and we widely believe in that entitlement rather than seeing it as an aberration, you negate this shitty kind of contempt. Part of charity being private is that you have to beg for it, that you have to offer yourself up for judgment of your worthiness, and thus can be the object of pity or scorn.

What a piece of shit. A lot of people who use the services to help feed their families do have jobs as well, here in the UK a lot of people that use the foodbanks have jobs it is just that the money they make is just not enough what what with the high cost of living.

Conservative trash are such scum.

"Is it an apathetic government and a precarious system of hyper-capitalism bucking under the pressure of a deadly virus that is causing people to need to be in food lines?........ No, they just don't want to work."

White conservatives in a nutshell.

The sad thing is that this will probably barely hurt his business. Plenty of MAGA assholes in AZ who will gladly support him for being a fellow asshole.

There are too many people out there without the sufficient amount of fists in their teeth to keep them from talking this kind of shit.

Pretty sure a lot of people getting help from food banks do have jobs, they're just incredibly low-paying jobs and nowhere near enough to support a family.

Seems like there's an alarmingly high amount of people in this country who lack empathy. It's not just this guy, but I see it on every social platform. Really bums me out.

His company's email address and answering machine is going to be swamped. I can only hope he actually loses business.
