When I used to listen to Iced Earth back in 90's they used to have lyrics like:

Nothing on facebook. A small blurb on there website condemning the attack is it.

Edit: One post had about 120 comments asking for a stronger statement, but most of the non american commenters are saying what they said was enough.

i used to hear them in my power metal phase 15 years ago, im glad it was not my favorite band of that time, if it was blind guardian i would be disapointed/sad

Serves him right as punishment for those boring as fuck albums he made with IE after Burnt Offerings. IE was always a second rate band that so desperately wanted to be the new Iron Maiden.

Can't even remember Horror Show. That's how little impact it had on me. But it must've at least been better than Glorious Burden, because goddamn was that album some awful jingoistic wankery.

I'll give him that Tribute to the Gods album though, some of those covers were pretty good.

Well, no big loss, Iced Earth never was particularily good and even Demons & Wizards is quite bleh, apart from a few songs. But D&W gave us Fiddler on The Green and this is a truly great song, but it's mostly Hansi, so it's still fine.

So Smedley is the only one left besides Schaffer? Yeah, the band is done. The Iced Earth name is tainted due to its association with Schaffer. What a way to kill your own band.

No shit, dude, I used to use the IMBB back in the days before it became part of the fan club. Wild hearing it being referenced in 2021. My u/n was EddieEddieEddie, I was eleven when I joined and using it was the absolute tits. Gateway to so many things for me, inc. Iced Earth.

I still keep in touch with some of the trolls people I met on the IMBB back in the day. Fun times. I remember how a bunch of them knocked up a fake single cover and convinced both mods and fanboys that Maiden were releasing 'Face in the Sand' as a single off Dance of Death. And that infamous thread by... Karpaasi or Unorthodoxx, one of the Finnish guys at least, about Lemmy being bisexual. And the final days of the IMBB after they'd announced it would be shut down... Jesus, what a glorious scorched earth nuclear apocalypse it was. I don't care much about Iced Earth, but i was gutted for Demons & Wizards. Hopefully Hansi takes back The Fiddle on the Green for himself and plays it live with Blind Guardian to keep the song alive.

Schaffer can rot, the idiot deserves it.
