No most bad dubs are just bad. I've seen more than enough that were just garbage and there was nothing iconic about them.
Yeah goofy dubs are really fun because I really like the art of voice acting and its just fascinating to hear really over-the-top preformances. I prefer dubs in general just because I can connect to it more when I imitate voices and stuff. Also I don't really enjoy reading subtitles for anything (besides foreign films)

How so? Like this is the only kind of dub you watch? Ghost Stories is more of an "official abridged series" than an actual dub. It's great either way.
I have a massive anime collection and do the same. Zombieland Saga and Osomatsu-san went totally above and beyond.

Oh not saying there aren't some good bad dubs but like many things I feel like people ignore the sea of shit for a couple that stand out. Its like people who go on about how great anime was in the 80's when they're mostly talking about things like movies and OAV's and movies and ignore a lot of stuff that was as subpar then as it would be today.
